An intruiging Premiership match this evening.....Newcastle United v Manchester City.
At half-time, it is 1-1. Aguero has scored his 100th Premiership goal.

Interesting half-time score from Bootham Crescent, with apparently doomed York leading Portsmouth by 2 goals to nil...
FT: Southend 0-1 Oldham
That win for Oldham have all but sure them playing in League one next season and it be confirm on Saturday if we beat bottom of table Crewe.
Evo Stik Premier League
Hyde United 0...Nantwich Town 4
Certainly consistency being shown by Hyde, as this was their third successive 0-4 home defeat. Hyde have only one match now to play...a home game against Halesowen Town. The situation is that Whitby Town are three points clear of Hyde with two games in hand, as you say one of these is played tonight.
Looking back on this season's results, Hyde once were fourth and beating top clubs in this league such as away league wins at Darlington (and an away win there in the FA Cup also) and at Salford City. So how has this disaster occurred?
I used to be able to attend Ewen Fields when I was in much better health and both my son and I were there not so very many seasons ago when they were in the Conference Premiership and Hyde comprehensively beat Woking 7-0 in that game.
Let us be thankful for small mercies and for the fact that Hyde have at least not repeated any game by the scoreline in an FA Cup match in the 1880's when Preston North End beat Hyde 26-0...![]()
John Sheridan has indeed brought more belief into the team since his appointment as manager.
So if Newcastle can draw against man city this should give hope to leicester if it come down to the last day of the season to win the title.
Guaranteed CL football with that result - Blue Army..
Darlington 2 - Grantham 0. Darlo need one point form two games. I cant really cope with this top of the league stuff!
The team were really tired tonight and got through another game with maximum points. Whitby on Thursday which will be tough followed by Rushall on Saturday.
Paul - looks like a win for Whitby tonight has sent Hyde down.
Congratulations on your win tonight and needing just one more point from two matches is a great position to be in....![]()
Don't know if you saw my posting earlier about Hyde but you cannot fault Whitby Town who were home to ninth placed Barwell and won 2-1 tonight. The results tonight saw Hyde drop deeper into the bottom four to 22nd position.

There could well be a lot of "Lancashire derby matches" next season in League 1, as I hope Accrington Stanley come up from League 2.
Forget any "Greater Manchester" pretend names for good old Lancashire towns, such as Bolton, Bury, Oldham and Rochdale.
Get a point tonight then I think its on. We need 3 more wins but I think norwich are down now and Palace could be pulled right back into it. Good.
Would you also class Liverpool and Everton as Lancashire sides then?
They did well tonight and have effectively relegated Hyde due to goal difference.
Before the "pretend" counties were established, what county do you think that Liverpool was in? "Merseyside" was officially created on 1st April 1974 as a result of the Local Government Act 1972.
So this means Hyde only need one more relegation to equal Stockport County's fall from grace.![]()
Point achieved - game on!
Though Stockport had fallen from a much higher position...
Stockport were relegated 4 times when they slipped down the leagues.
This will be Hyde's 3rd relegation in as many seasons, hence one more relegation.
In any case thesymbol in my previous post indicated that the comment was only intended to be a bit of light hearted humour.
