Apologies that I'm not an expert on the history of North East football.

No. The current football club (which is the same one as before) is Darlington Football Club, regardless of what blazer wearing FA mandarins at Lancaster Gate or wiki or anyone else might think. One club. One History.

And we won again today coming from behind to beat Stamford 2-1. 4 points from 3 games needed now. This week we will play Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

We should have played on Saturday but:

Darlington play at Bishop Auckland which was water logged so we were offered the use of Spennymoor which was then also waterlooged so we were then offered the use of Durham City. Stamford weren't happy about as Durham has a 3G pitch this so the game was postponed 24 hours to today to give the pitch at Spennymoor a chance to dry out!

The odd thing was that had Spenny not been playable today we would have played at .................. Durham City. #Chaos!

Wow. I'm noticing parallels between Darlington and Rangers here.

The difference is that FIFA, UEFA and the SFA have all come out to defend the 'sporting continuity' of Rangers. I take it the authorities have not been as generous to Darlo?

We had two more fit and proper owners after Mr Reynolds. They made him look like an eccentric!

No but we are not bothered. We know the truth. We bought the club, the name, the history and the badge. We saved it after the behavior of those fit and proper owners. The one thing the final owner before us would not sell was the league "golden share".

The club i support now is the same club i started supporting 30+ years ago regardless of what an FA blazer might think.

I'm sure that sentiment will resonate among all supporters of Rangers.

However parochial we may appear, I'm sure all supporters of any football club will rally around when they see a club being screwed over by the authorities. I'm guessing that more than 50% of the clubs in both England and Scotland have felt the sting of self-interested ownership at one time or another.

I would like to mention that the Old Firm ceased to exist when the original Glasgow Rangers went into liquidation back in 2012, as a result of them being caught operating a dubious tax dodging scheme/scam.

The present incarnation is Rangers International Football Club, who were previously known as The Rangers, and started out as Sevco 5088 before applying for membership of the Scottish FA, and starting out in the basement division.

Just like Pacific Shelf 595 formed in 1994 by Fergus McCann...Don't give me your bull. UEFA and FIFA have already said we're the same club...

All that said, how Vardy then reacted to the referee after being sent off should well see the normal ban period extended, similar to what occurred in the incident that followed when Diego Costa was sent off.

I don't think Tottenham will get maximum points, they'll start feeling the weight of expectations and West Brom could well be party poopers.

Certainly consistency being shown by Hyde, as this was their third successive 0-4 home defeat. Hyde have only one match now to play...a home game against Halesowen Town. The situation is that Whitby Town are three points clear of Hyde with two games in hand, as you say one of these is played tonight.

Looking back on this season's results, Hyde once were fourth and beating top clubs in this league such as away league wins at Darlington (and an away win there in the FA Cup also) and at Salford City. So how has this disaster occurred?

I used to be able to attend Ewen Fields when I was in much better health and both my son and I were there not so very many seasons ago when they were in the Conference Premiership and Hyde comprehensively beat Woking 7-0 in that game.

Let us be thankful for small mercies and for the fact that Hyde have at least not repeated any game by the scoreline in an FA Cup match in the 1880's when Preston North End beat Hyde 26-0...

I had a dream about this scenario last night. It was the last day of the season, Spurs had won all their fixtures and were cruising against Newcastle.

Leicester had seven points from their fixtures, meaning they needed at least a point at Stamford Bridge to win the title BUT Chelsea were winning 2-0 with 10 minutes left.

In my dream, I was watching the match at the pub, and the camera zoomed in on two Chelsea players saying "What are we doing? We can't have Spuds winning the league!". They then let in two extremely soft goals, including one where the keeper jumped up to a cross and punched the ball into his own net!

Anyway, I reckon Spurs will win the League. I got odds of 10/1 just after Leicester beat Sunderland too!
