The visit of top of the league Blyth in the Monday night match brought about a second consecutive 0-4 home defeat for Hyde and whilst still in 20th place, just outside the bottom four relegation places, three of those teams now have two games in hand of Hyde. Hyde have now only four remaining matches for new manager Darren Kelly to work a miracle and keep Hyde in this league next season.

Winchester City came away from Cinderford with a point following a controversial game. Cinderford took the lead from the penalty spot in the eleventh minute but were reduced to ten men when Kieran Thomas received a second yellow. Early in the second half Winchester turned it around but as it was looking likely that Winchester would become the first team to beat Cinderford in their own backyard the hosts were awarded another penalty and equalised. Cinderford were reduced to nine men late on but the match finished level, leaving Winchester needing six more points to qualify for the playoffs.

Well, the two red cards tonight were both for second yellows. You do get tougher tackling and with City being the league's highest scorers, the strikeforce gets fouled quite a lot.

bad result for Darlo last night. We lost 3-1 at Frickley having lead 1-0 at half time. I think that might the title gone although it is still in our hands. We have a crazy number of games to play and that fixture congestion will beat us i think.

We need a good result on Thursday night and on Saturday to keep the pressure on.

Oldham 1-0 Walsall

Huge win this for us and with Blackpool and Shrewsbury both lost and Fleetwood only draw 2-2 to Southend it mean Oldham move up to 18th in table and now two points clear of Blackpool.

Port Vale 3-0 Crewe

With Fleetwood draw and Oldham won it mean Crewe are relegated to League Two something that look more likely since February.

Derby 4-1 Bolton

Bolton have been relegated to League One after this defeat and hopefully Oldham will stay in League One so I can look forward to trip to Macron Stadium next season.
