Both could be relegated next weekend if they loses their matches.
Well done to Bury who are promoted to League One as they beat Tranmere 1-0 and Southend lost 3-1 to Morecambe, with Bury going up it mean I be looking forward to four away games next season. (Blackpool, Bury, Rochdale and Wigan and Blackpool and Wigan are not too far away from train station)
Also well done to Bournemouth for been crowd champion of Championship and also to Brentford who enough play offs places, I wonder what the odd were before start of season for them two to be promoted to Premiership?

Well, what a monumental cock up Derby have made of this season. Having looked nailed on to win the title not too long ago, they lose 3-0 at home to Reading when they only needed a point to secure a play-off place.
On a personal note, getting very nervous for tomorrow now, as long as we avoid defeat at home to Eastleigh we'll be heading to Wembley to face either Bristol Rovers or FGR for a place back in the league after 5 years down in this abyss.

Grimsby Town will play the second leg of play-offs against Eastleigh tomorrow at Blundell park. We are already 2-1 up!
If we win, draw or lose 1-0 we go to Wembley yet again. Most likely against Bristol Rovers.
I want an independent view here, who is your favourite to go into League 2?

I don't think away goals count in any play-offs, be it League or Non-league, so if Eastleigh win 1-0 you'll be heading for extra time.
And Bristol Rovers, as dull as that would be.

Their players are actually pretty filthy, presumably because they can get away with it. Fellaini whacked someone in the face and got no punishment in the first half.
Falcao has been brought on and it wouldn't surprise me if he cost more than the entire WBA team.
I've listened to a couple of games at Old Trafford and it's like a library there. I don't understand how so many fans can be so quiet.
The only thing west brom have got was the free kick they scored from.

Correct, the away goals rule does not apply at any time during the play-offs. A one goal win by any score for Eastleigh will send the game to extra-time but I'm just hoping that we'll score early on as I don't want to have my nerves shredded for the closing stages of the game.

What a shock. Balne-wonderer moaning about a refereeing decision. What was the problem with it? Blatant handball inside the area (on the line counts as in the area, according to sky commentator)
As for united being filthy - did we miss Yacob leaving his foot in at every opportunity?

Fellaini is one snidey player, every time he goes up for a ball he elbows the other player.
Constant little digs and pushes all the time doing just enough to put the other player off balance, if he isn't fouling he's moaning, horrible player.

I was and believe me it was a very poor performance by Clattenburg. It was a penalty but the Everton 2nd shouldn't have stood. It wasn't just that though his handling of the game throughout was very poor. Not just decisions against Villa. Some poor ones against Everton too. And seeing as we won it can hardly be described as sour grapes

Yes. Sky (who's commentary barely mentioned WBA's btw) are the paragon of neutrality and neglected to show the important angle from the view of the assistant referee and/or the 18 yard box.
I watched the second half of this game and West Brom were masterful, if a little lucky, in their defensive display. The one decision the ref gave them they made pay).
Systemic bias even reaching the FA? Probably not but I wouldn't be surprised. More likely a mistake: even the best referees make mistakes, this is why technology exists but why won't the FA introduce technology to help the referee? There is no escaping the riches in football, especially the premier league, and decisions like this can cost a club millions. If the foul on given happened to De Gea at Old Trafford do you really think they'd let the goal stand? Clue: the answer is the same as "Is the Pope muslim?"

Do you have an angle which shows that the handball is definitively outside the box from a entirely neutral source that would go against that? I can only judge from the pictures that I saw, and from that for me it was a penalty. (The logic of getting someone to take it who hasn't started a game since February is certainly questionable but not relevant!)
West Brom defended resolutely, probably came with the game plan of defending and breaking on the counter and carried it out well - take nothing away from it. The commentary which praised their defensive discipline and Myhill's second half performance certainly mentioned that.
MOTD did mention whether the foul on Given should allow the goal to stand. In my view it shouldn't have, but that's me making a judgement on something that happened - what may or may not have happened if the situation had taken place at Old Trafford/ in a different match doesn't really come into it.
In other news, James Ward-Prowse was rather bizarrely sent off for Southampton when he gave away a penalty yesterday, despite there being two other defenders close by (so not the last man or preventing a goal-scoring opportunity). What relevance does this have? It proves that refereeing mistakes take place in more than just matches involving certain clubs.

Refereeing standards are generally getting worse. We always wanted more consistency and now we've got it: they're all consistently awful.
Newcastle will get relegated, there's no way they'll stay up now. And it will be hilarious. Definitely need to be careful what you wish for.

Very sad indeed.
Only found out late last night about it and all thoughts go out to their family. Love him or loath him, he always tries his best when he pulls on the shirt so I am sure he will have sympathy from people all over.
I remember fondly the time when Rio came on loan to AFCB. Seems like such a long time ago now.

A friend of my Dad, David Walker a former football player for Burnley has died. We only got the news today, very sad news. RIP
Grimsby Town won 3-0 at home against Eastleigh and will therefor play Bristol Rovers at Wembley on the 17th!
In today's match the 3mins extra was cut short to just 1:30 because the ref had to as crowds were spilling onto the pitch. If was interfering with play shortly before as a Grimsby corner kick couldn't run up and was being hugged and when a ball was going out it was nearly kicked by a fan. The ref called an end at that point as crowds were around the white line border.
I know it's very exciting getting a win in the play-offs but they should wait til the final whistle!

Fair results to be honest but we seen to switch off when Peterborough when down to 10 men and we were current 1-0 up.

That win for Chelsea mean they are crowd Premiership champions and they deserve it given they been top of division since day one.
