It is incredibly odd given the changes to the game favouring attackers (namely offside and back-pass as official rules)

The referee did very well tonight in the Manchester Utd v Arsenal game.

He did indeed although I thought Arsenal should have had a penalty. Another poor performance by Man Utd..............clearly Moyes wasn't the problem

That is a most novel idea that I would like transferring to the Crown Courts and Magistrates Courts. Just think of all the "scrotes and scumbags" who plead not guilty when they know they are guilty getting triple-length sentences for not telling the truth when found guilty.

If you plead guilty as soon as possible at court you get a third off your sentence. It encourages people to own up.

Cisse may as well have denied it and hope for a sympathetic panel.

Yes I've always thought it is better to be away in the second leg and that a 0-0 at home in the first leg is a decent result

Absolutely hilarious, and absolutely deserved too. Shame we didn't get to see some John Terry tears this time, although he was good comedy.

I can't decide which was funnier: Terry man-marking Gary Cahill not Thiago for the equaliser, or Terry kicking Oscar in the head in the rush to get Ibrahimovic sent off.

"You can't as a group of players let them surround the ref, trying to get our players booked.

Seems he was unhappy with the conduct of some of the PSG players, apparently surrounding the referee to pressure him into a decision. Mind you, at Ibrahimovic's sending off (which I'm not sure was - Oscar hardly looked 'in control' either) it seemed to be the Chelsea players who were surrounding the ref.

Bit late but another vote of confidence for Michael Oliver the other night. Januzaj and di Maria's antics were disgusting. I did think that at one point Young went down and I thought it was genuine, but because it was Young it was considered a dive. Not that it changed the impact of the game or anything, but shows how a reputation can precede players - Januzaj needs to kick it out ASAP.

Matters continue now to move in rapid succession at Rangers with the current caretaker manager, Kenny McDowell, leaving the club today to allow the next caretaker manager, Stuart Mc Call manage until the end of this season.

For any other old fogies like me on this thread, this is beginning to sound like affairs at Manchester City in the early 1960's and also in the 1980's when the manager's job there seemed to come with an ejector seat...

Knowing we lost 3-1 I thought we didn't play that bad and they second goal was just luck, we also had player sent off as Lockwood got second yellow card.

We now play MK Dons who beat us 7-0 back in December, knowing MK Dons are not playing that well lately I can see them picking up three points on Tues night.

I've never heard anybody mention during the entire Rangers saga that a world recession had an adverse effect on David Murray's companies.
He's then left trying to unload a football club which nobody moved for until Whyte came along.
The rest is history.
Seems the 5 on loan Newcastle players are as of much use as a chocolate teapot.

In contrary to Clip, I'm feeling rather different - we haven't played like that for quite a while, I really did expect more from Spurs today. It was quite funny before the game, with all the pundits agreeing 'lack of pace' in the Man United front line, yet we go and play with a higher tempo than most other games we've played this season.

Come on Swansea tomorrow night, do us a favour!
