I watched the game today. First half was fine and I thought we played quite well. Second half was just a disaster. A total lack of organisation and composure and we allowed Brentford to counter-attack so so easily. They scored three goals in the second half and it could have easily been six.

Is this a managerial error though... I don't think so. I think we need to remember that this is a young, inexperienced but talented squad (Lee Evans will no doubt end up getting sold to someone like Stoke for £4m) that is tasting their first real bad patch. There seemed to be a sense of panic out there when they fell behind and at that point, the game plan totally went out of the window.

We must not forget the fantastic work that Kenny did last season in securing promotion with what was basically a completely new team. Give him chance. He will turn this around for us.

Jackett certainly did do a good job last season but his failure to spend any money in 2 windows on anybody decent is now proving counter-productive.

I surprised Paul didn't mention this but Hyde won 4-3 today as they beat Tamworth and their fourth goal came in injured time (90th mins)

Out of the slough of despond that is the lot of Hyde supporters, I have to own up to the depressing fact that Hyde have only won a total of four matches this 2014/5 season, but there have been a great number of aggregate goals in the match score when Hyde have actually won as shown below:-

It does appear that a few comments have been passed to refs about Man City, Aguero got nothing all day including being booked for diving when it was the most blatant pen in the world.

Add to that the offside goal the red side got against Arsenal last week plus the stone wall red card for Fellaini that never happened. It does appear the refs have been given certain instructions.

Not too sure if this results count but given Hyde don't win many matches it probably do but back in September Hyde beat Chadderton (who play in North West Counties Football League Division One) by Eight scoring to nil in Manchester Premier Cup.

So basically, you've decided to chip in with refereeing comments, all of which have a common factor in that you're trying to make out that they go in Man Utd's favour effectively.

I actually agree with you regarding Aguero, it was a stonewall penalty and the ref got it completely wrong.

I notice in your mention of Fellaini that you do not mention that it was Jack Wilshere who put his head towards Fellaini, and if anything it was Wilshere who got off lightly in the incident. That booking of Aguero today after he was denied possibly one of the most blatant penalties ever seen should have see the ref sacked, fined and given 5 years for complete and utter incompetence.

Graham Poll has said today that it's one of the worst decisions he's ever seen and he normally supports refs.

I see that as a rider to your first paragraph concerning the Sunday match between Southampton and Manchester City, you did not miss the opportunity to hark back not one day but a week in your wish to report your perceived view on an incident that occurred in a match between Arsenal and Manchester United. Did no similar incidents that weekend in the Championship where your own team of Leeds United play that you could have reported on?

Perhaps next time that I make a posting about Hyde, I may well now add my view on a very early first half incident in the 1888 FA Cup match between Preston North End and Hyde which I too may have taken umbrage about the tackle made by the centre-half of Preston North End on the inside-right forward of Hyde. I might even be tempted to make the outrageous claim that the foul had much to do with the eventual scoreline of 26-0 in favour of Preston North End....

Yes it was a shocker, bad enough not giving the penalty but the booking adds insult to injury although presumably it will be overturned? The most telling thing was the reaction of the Southampton player trying to convince the ref he'd fouled him outside the box, I bet he couldn't believe his luck

Not even until the end of the season, it will only run until March when his conviction is "spent" He'll then be able to resume his role at the club

There is a few people suggesting this has been implemented to stop us doing business in the Jan window. The FL were overruled by an independent QC originally and now they are trying to save face and get one over on us.

They stressed that Shaun Harvey (who was an ex-director at Leeds who lost his job when Cellino came in) was not involved in the decision.....wonder how much influence he had over the votes though. He clearly has an axe to grind.
