Pretty sure the kind of people he was in debt to wouldn't really abide by the Gambling Act 2005 provisions (Allegedly) ;)

I'm pretty certain it wont be a "gambling debt" as I don't think he gambled against Mike?

Just off to THE north west derby.

Despite having played each other over 200 times in the past, tonight is the first Silkmen v Altyscum derby for over a decade. Should be a lively evening :D

Just waking up in my hotel room after a worthwhile trip up to see Alty restore the natural balance in Cheshire.

Altrincham 1 - 0 Macclesfield Town

Oh and it was 17 years but I suppose that was too high a number to count on your hands ;)

So, did you have fun? I know I did

Tried to kick us off the park then got a smash n grab to pinch it at the death - cracking goal though.

Ah well, at least the Altyscum will have been happy when they got back to their hovels and slept easy in the arms of their brothers and sisters last night.

No, but I know the Altyscum get awfully confused having six fingers on each hand

Wellbeck and Ballotelli have cost the same, be interesting to see a statistical comparison for them.

I think that if both players are played in their most effective playing positions, a correct analysis could then well be made. The out of position role that Wellbeck was given at Manchester United, as decreed by the club manager at that time, was that of a supplementary matter to fit in with other forward players, rather than to use the best of the players' talents. I feel that Diego Forlan was another player whose undoubted talents were not made the best of by Manchester United in his time there as a result of the role that the manager decreed he should be played in, whereas the move away from there saw him once again blossom under both club and International managers who played him in his most effective role.

I am pleased to see that Wellbeck scored a hat-trick of personally well-taken strikers goals for Arsenal last night in their Champions League match against Galataseray.

I remember all of the Liverpool fans at the beginning of September laughing saying we got ripped off, paying the same for Welbeck as they did for Mario. They've piped down now...

I'm not a Liverpool fan, but if Welbeck keeps on scoring like he is doing after all the stick I've given him, then I can see a rather large slice of humble pie heading my way (again) ....

I agree with you but he needs to start doing this in the big games too - starting this weekend.

To be fair, a Champions League game against Galatasaray is a "big game".

Not really. Getting humped off Dortmund is a big game. Beating Chelsea or at least giving an account of himself is a big game. Galatasaray are just making up the numbers there.

Anybody else watching the Europa League game? Whenever two Spurs players stand side by side I get an image of Class 31s in my head.

Both Tottenham Hotspur and Everton had to settle for a draw in last night's Europa League matches.

Celtic beat Dinamo Zagreb 1-0 to jointly head their group with four points from two games.

On the Friday night Championship match, Blackpool surprised many people by defeating Cardiff City and thus putting even more pressure upon those charged with the running of Bolton Wanderers.

The Championship is no easier to predict this season than it was last...

Still 0-0 at Ewood Park, hopefully our old golden boy won't be haunting us too much- as we seem to have turned the corner under Chris Powell...

Oldham unbeaten run keep roll on as they draw 2-2 to Peterborough, we are now on eight match unbeaten run and only lost three times in 23 maybe 24 matches in all competition. :D

Nice to see Burnley finally scored goal in premiership since opening weekend and they ended up drawing 2-2 to Leicester.

Hyde were drawing 0-0 at half time but sadly they have lost 4-0 to Leamington.

Am quite pleased my ticket at Anfield yesterday was free. Am a little worried about having to pay for Newcastle away. Liverpool aren't the greatest at the mo, and I believe we were first on MOTD again!

I see that another urban football myth has been put to bed this season, as at the time of writing, Manchester United have conceded no less than seven penalties in the Premier League this season.

Not sure that was a myth. I'm pretty sure it was true, just not any more.

Scottish Premiership

Celtic 0...Hamilton Academical 1

Crawford's goal mid-way through the match sees Hamilton Academical win on Celtic's ground in league matches for the first time since 1938 and takes them to the top of the Scottish Premiership,

A shock indeed , without Rangers, Hearts and Hibs The Scottish Premiership is a joke :p

Clue....remove Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool from The Premier league.

Arguably not, it's a lot more interesting now than it was 5-10 years ago when us and Celtic used to clear up left, right and centre.
