We are going to be all over the place tomorrow. I'm back in my normal position at the top of the North Stand, with the dregs of the Leeds support. I really do not know what state the team will be in. Anyway, lets have a good game

That's what worries me... Everything points to a Town win being the likely outcome, so it'd be just like us to crumble defensively and give away some silly goals! Our only hope of a first 'double' of the season might be if McCormack goes on strike!

I'm disgusted by it. In the last few minutes McCormack has said he wants to stay which is good but it's going to be a heavy atmosphere tomorrow.

Recent results have been bad but the fans were a long way from turning on McDermott. We know he's had very little to work with and had to rely on getting players from lower leagues and a few loans. He didn't get a proper chance. He seems like a good, honest guy that wanted to do his best for the club. We don't want superstars, just a tiny bit of light at the end of a very long tunnel.

The big rumour is that Gianluca Festa is going to get the job, employed by our new Italian owners.

I read in The Independent the other day it cost £7.5 Million to get rid of Mancini at Manchester City.

I read in The Independent the other day it cost £7.5 Million to get rid of Mancini at Manchester City.

if that sum had been given back to fans in the form of admission price reductions it would have gone a long way.

Surely that's an impossibility though? The £7.5m would have had to have gone to Mr. Mancini anyway as pay-off of his contract. Whilst he was relatively successful, he was a dead man walking for his last few months at City.

I finally got a response from the BBC to a complaint I made about an episode of Match of the Day.

In the episode they showed replays of an incident involving a Manchester United player who was knocked to the ground by an opposition player. They deliberately altered the footage by remove frames of video to make it appear that the opposition player had made no contact with him. The evidence of this is easily available as the match was broadcast live, and shows that the opposition player made contact with him three or possibly four times. The altered footage was shown several times before the panel of pundits criticised the Manchester United player for diving without contact having been made.

The BBC do not deny that they deliberately removed frames of video to make it appear that the Manchester United player had dived, but claim that it is "not relevant" because football is "subjective" and the claims that he had dived were merely the "professional opinion" of the pundits and not of the BBC itself.

I will take this further and insist that this time the matter is dealt with by someone who wasn't closely involved with the original deception.


I would like to say this is the first time I have encountered something like this but I am afraid it is not. This reminds me of the incident where the Daily Mail claimed that a Manchester United player who was left bleeding by opposition fans had somehow incited the violence by deliberately celebrating a goal in front of them. I provided evidence that he had actually been assaulted while celebrating directly in front of his own team's fans. In response to my complaint an editor told me they were standing by the article in its entirety and said that they had never claimed the player celebrated in front of the opposition fans. They then surreptitiously edited the article to remove the claim. My details were passed on to the 'journalist' who had written the original article who sent me a very personally abusive email.


If the media will go to such lengths to lie about something as trivial as football how can we trust what is written on subjects that actually matter.

Good grief man, have you got nothing better to do with your time than complain to the BBC about some perceived bias against Man U. If anything they get more coverage than any other team in the UK, they are the most successful team in terms of league titles, loads of people hate them because of their success (I could live with that if I supported them), they have just signed a brilliant player for £37 million, you are still high in the table despite having the worst Man U squad I have seen for decades.

Honestly Joe you make some of the more deluded Liverpool fans I know seem reasonable.

I would love nothing more than to see Manchester United get the same sort of coverage as everyone else. This means not going first, getting next to no coverage and being relegated to the status of "making up the numbers" when playing a big team regardless of how well you played

Martin Jol's sacking is now being demonstrated as an act of crass stupidity on the part of Fulham. Perhaps they should have borne in mind his former stewardship of Ajax and Spurs. After todays loss to Southampton they are prime candidates for relegation.

Well, you cn't accuse the match officials of not allowing more and more time for Stoke City(as the home team) to increase their lead. Perhaps other home teams in the Premiership will be similarlily favoured.

Great win for Oldham this afternoon as they beat Swindon 1-0 and it was Latics first away win since 26th November, Oldham are now six points ahead of bottom 4 and have game in hand too, it started to look like Oldham wouldn't be in relegation battle this season after all.

Droylsden lost again this afternoon as they lost 2-0 to Matlock Town and it mean Droylsden lose all they away games this season and they goal diff is now -100, it could be that Droylsden get relegated as early as March the way that club going.

Has to be said that Leeds fans will be on cloud nine tonight, but they seriously need to be asking questions about the running of their club. Just heard the interview with the acting/caretaker manager who was unaware of the statement the club rushed out just after the game. Leeds fans are being taken for granted by the club owners, and it needs those same fans to vote with their feet and send a message to those in charge.

It's obviously hard to face a heavy defeat against local rivals, especially one which wipes out your positive goal difference in one go... But i'd rather be in our position this evening than theirs.

It looks like they may finally make it to The Premiership this year with a 10 point lead at the top of the Championship.

What an incredible 24 hours really. The running of the club is terrible, maybe with McDermott now being reinstated and new owners in we can have some stability. One can only hope.

Huddersfield were the better team for large parts of the first half, should have been more than 1-0 up really. In the 2nd half, we switched Mowatt and Austin round and it worked wonders. Our wingers were in the game much more and McCormack was clinical. Kebe and Mowatt also getting goals, everything just fell Leeds way for a change.

5-1 wasn't really a fair reflection on the game but after all the turmoil at my club, i'll take it but not dwell on it, a win is a win. Yeovil away next

it was the new owner who sacked McDermott, however the current owner did not sanction that and as the sale is incomplete so the sacking is invalid.

The BBC article says it was because the prospective new owner wants a head coach not a manager, which implies a redundancy due to the position being removed from structure.

Apparently it wasn't a goal according to some of my pals, but then again King Eddie said it looked like it did cross the line. I don't know as I was 100 miles away in Devon.

Can't say I am that disappointed. Leicester are the runaway leaders. We will probably end up mid-lower Championship come end of the season so that will be a good foundation to build on for next year. We've come a long way in the last five years after losing on live TV to Blyth Spartans in a replay managed by a clueless manager who set out to play 4-5-1 at home in the original fixture against a team two divisions below.

Would rather Leicester have all three points and get promoted than us probably not getting much use out of it. I get enough grief from Sc*mpton-supporting mates I can do without more coming from Leicester ones.

Can someone offer me an explanation why football seems to attract scummy owners?
