The 6-0 final score, following on from the 5-0 defeat by Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup last weekend, must make big Sam wonder what else can go wrong for him at the present time.

I can't remember the last time I had a bet on a match, but someone I follow on Twitter said you could get 250-1 on West Ham to win 1-0 tonight, with Ravel Morrison to score.
That's worth a quid!

I don't mind being beaten. I don't mind being beaten 6-0. I do mind being beaten 6-0 with very little effort or commitment being put in by the players, and even less from the manager.

Finally some natural width in the team. Still think Wednesday go into the game as favourites.

Nice early start tomorrow. Hopefully the game passes without incident and there is no repeat of last seasons disgraceful scenes from a minority of both sets of fans.

Well, today we've broken our transfer record to sign Nahki Wells from our local 'rivals' Bradford City. We must be in the minority among Championship clubs in having not broken our transfer record in such a long time (the previous being £1.2m for Marcus Stewart in 1996). Hopefully he'll have more success in the blue and white than last time we broke the record by signing a Bantam- Lee Duxbury was not a success in anyone's book apart from Geoffrey Richmond! Wells hasn't quite had the impact in league one this season but I'm still happy with the signing- he's clearly a talented player and is not afraid to try skinning defenders so he should fit in with Robins' style. Whether we can avoid the Holloway effect tomorrow is another matter though...

It's been a busy couple of days for Scunthorpe Utd. Paddy Madden (last season's leading scorer in L1) has arrived from Yeovil and signed a 2 and a half year contract, for a fee to be around £300,000. David Syers has also rejoined the club, this time on a 2 and half year contract, and Marcus Williams has had his loan from Sheffield United converted into a transfer.

I think Chris Iwulemo's time at the club is nearly up though, as in addition to Paddy Madden, Paul Hayes has just signed for the club, plus Sam Winnall and Deon Burton have been producing the goals in the last 6 weeks or so.

Think your team will be in a stronger position too at the end of the month. There's always bad blood between ourselves and Bradford but I'm always looking out for those results after our own. Would be nice if in three years or so all 3 league clubs in West Yorks could be celebrating reaching the top flight!

Yup, they're both still here, although Mirfin did leave us once on a free to join Watford. He's part of our central defensive partnership with a home grown talent of our own. Collins is our captain.

How long before we see another attempt by a club to produce a 'dodgy dossier' along the lines of the laughable attempt by Rafa Benitez a few years ago when at Liverpool to convince journalists that match officials gave Man United an easy ride. You could hear the stiffled giggles then yawns of those journalists present and it backfired badly on him.

Losing Matt Smith just after half-time will not have helped matters and Jimmy Kebe was substituted mid-way through the second half.

I think when your down, your down. And everything goes against you.

A disgusting performance all in all, the players don't look interested or bothered. Awful defending, poor decisions from defenders, couldn't string a few passes together and had nothing going forward.

I think the sending off was slightly harsh but it wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference. The decision to allow Wednesday's third goal was just as bad as our defending though, clear foul on Jason Pearce but didn't expect to get anything from that ref.

Not sure where Leeds United go from here, League 1 perhaps? I remember getting beat 6-2 by Wednesday in the Premier League about 18 years ago but this tops that.

Just a day when Wednesday played well, got every deflection and decision their way and we were horrific and had no fight.

Leeds fans superb throughout though, chanting all game, suppose that's something to cling onto.

That much fell like win for they fans as what it is first time the haven't lose since 2nd November something like that?

Oldham won 1-0 against Stevenage today, not best of games to watch and we didn't really play that well but I felt it was much win game for Latics so happy with win, plus other team around us didn't win expect Notts County so it show you that was big win for Oldham Stevenage also had players sent off but I didn't see what happen so I can't comment on that.

Aleast Droylsden didn't lose today too (they match against Barwell was call off)

My commiserations to Balne Wonderer, as I keep up my new years resolution to foster camaraderie rather than rivalry between ourselves and other clubs in West Yorkshire. I don't normally include early kick-offs in my accumulators, as it ruins the bet if it doesn't go as I predict- but thought a Leeds win at Hillsborough was nailed-on! I imagine there'll be significant numbers of LUFC fans calling for McDermott to go after today, but as an outsider looking in he seems to be a decent manager and a decent person, unlike his predecessor! (who despite never needing to buy a drink in Huddersfield again, no-one would choose to live next-door to!).

Pleased with our result today, with Nakhi Wells scoring on his debut just as I was starting to accept that we'd lost two points by not quite reaching the levels of recent weeks in terms of performance. Also pleased to see Joe Lolley of Kidderminster hit a hat-trick today as he's expected to join the Terriers later this month.

Talk around Leeds Road (as I still call it) is starting to focus on what's happening above us rather than below- and our below-par performance today would probably have earned wins from at least two of our recent defeats (Watford and Birmingham at home). Of course though, this is the Championship so a run of three defeats would undo all the hard work of the last couple of months. We have a few tough games coming up starting with QPR away next week, so I'm trying to keep my feet on the ground! If Leeds fans need any more comfort, I'd still suggest they look up the table rather than down!

I agree about Yorkshire, would love to see everyone challenging at the top. Travel from Hillsborough is that poor that generally it does empty. I never did as a previous season ticket holder i always stayed just incase something happened. And you know what its amazing how often it did! Wickam has saved us slightly. But the whole team are playing better under Gray. DJ was just too negative.

I like your manager, much better than the previous one I cant see anyone asking for his head. You certainly were not helped by your half time substitution. The commentator literally said Mcormack will be pleased then he did that. The neutrals in my house say it was sending off. Far too late on the head. But still unfortunate.

I went to Harrogate Railway v Darlington yesterday which finished in a 2-0 win for Darlo taking us to 4th, 7 points adrfit of leaders Warrington.

The match was played on a very heavy surface with the most fantastic slope i have ever seen! My pictures here ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/darlo2009/11907128703/ ) dont really do it justice!

However Curzon Ashton, who may well win the league, sit 2nd a point behind the leaders with three games in hand. They have also go two game sin hand on us but must visit our ground on the 8th.
