You should have as I'd definitely class Stoke as the Midlands - the WMDR is valid there

Like I said on Sunday Oldham need to beat Shrewsbury today but sadly we wasn't up for it today, poor def given them first score but we hit back and scored equaliser and should really been 2-1 up at half time with Smith hitting crossbar with wonderful free kick and then Rooney hitting posts too, when Shrewsbury did score winning goal (bit lucking as they hit posts second before) we never really look like scoring the equaliser.
Like Paul said Hyde lose 3-0 to Macclesfield but aleast they only lose three as Droylsden (worse team then Hyde) lose 9-0 to Ashton United today and they goal diff is now -92 and we only beginning of January.

Not all that often that Manchester United lose three out of four home league matches. Spurs also won there last season.

Just back from this game. Seen the Silkmen stroll to easy victories over Hyde twice over Christmas. Missed the win at Grimsby though.
Hyde are shockingly poor, even Altyscum might get a point out of them next season.
Anyway, looking forward to our annual appearance in the FA Cup third round on Saturday - it's Sheffield Wednesday this season. Hope they come with the same attitude as Cardiff did last year, and were sent back home suitably chastened.

Well, so were Cardiff last year - even managed to get themselves promoted to the Premiership, and not forgetting we only went out by the single goal to the eventual winners.
We have managed 6 wins out of last 7 games, so up for a battle on our tight pitch, just need some driving sleet off the Pennines to give the occasion a true cup tie atmosphere
Being realistic though, we want a draw as replay will generate enough money to see us through another season.

Jennings was always going back at end of December, so was resigned to having to manage without him.
He Picked-up a serious injury at Cambridge so will be out for several months I understand. Nice lad, and great appetite for goal.

That probably end Man Utd chances of getting into top 4 which I think is first time that happen to united since premiership have started (Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City all look more likely to finish in top 4) big question for United will be, do they go out and try and buy best players this months or just buy new Midfield and hope Rooney and once he fit Van prise get them goals they would need?
Saying all that who doesn't say that Man Utd would finish outside top 4 but do what Chelsea and Liverpool done and win the Uefa Champion League and it mean example Liverpool would miss out on UCL because they finish in four places? It could happen as Man Utd seen to be doing quite well in group stages and should reach QF of UCL.

Why should Man U reach the quarters of the champions league? They really aren't very good and haven't been for a while, they just happened to have had the best manager in the world, now they don't.
To put it another way, you don't think Man U are good enough for the top 4 of the premiership but they should do the quarter finals of the Champions League??????

They should reach the QFs this time around, Olympiakos are probably the weakest side left in the UCL along with Zenit. I don't expect them to get much further though - they'll get absolutely trounced once they meet the likes of Athletico Madrid or Bayern Munich (on current form).
Man U just got beat at home by Spurs who aren't exactly doing well. Now unless Spurs have suddenly become really good I can't see the other European teams bricking themselves.

Nope, but Spurs are still above average, certainly better than Olympiakos. Whilst they may not be as feared as they once were, Man Utd's past achievements still tend to proceed them (a lot like AC Milan), so they are still regarded as a tough tie. No matter how bad Man Utd are doing right now, they still have to be favourites to beat the Greeks (they've got Roy Carroll in goal for goodness sake), they are the better side. Like I said though, they will probably com unstuck once they meet some decent opposition.

Interesting that the BBC chose to show three slow motion replays of a certain controversial incident from today's games on Match of the Day, but cut each replay short to hide evidence of a foul.
A remarkable thing to do in today's Internet age as truthful and legitimate replays of the incident were online within minutes of it happening. Apparently the BBC think they can come along hours later with a crudely cut version and alter the reality of what actually happened.

Yeah mate I can see where you are coming from. And if I'm being honest with myself then no, you can never write of Man U, as much as I'd like to. Ha ha. When it omes to first choice tem at the mo I honestly prefer Liverpools to Man U's, they obviously have much better strength in depth though. It is a lot closer than it has been for a while though.

What I want is a West Ham that plays like West Ham should. That's a fluid, passing style, with a couple of fellas willing to dig in and put in tackles when necessary.
And I don't care if that's in the Premier League, The Championship, The Conference or The Essex Senior League.
Our identity, what set us apart from other clubs, what made fans of other clubs appreciate us, is being eroded away (and has been for some time). That's the root of our problems as far as I'm concerned, and Allardyce and his football is the latest symptom of it. He's done it in brief spurts (play-off semis, Brighton at home, Blackpool away) but so did Grant, so did Zola. We need to start again, and get back to who we really are.
