Two more sackings in the Football League - Gillingham have given Martin Allen the boot while Bury have ousted Kevin Blackwell.

I was shock to see Gillingham sacked Allen yesterday evening special he took Gillingham up to League One as champions last season, as for Bury you see it happening as they are 21st in table and only point behide Northampton who are in 23rd place in League Two.

I see famous team on here have got hard ties in FA Cup Fourth Round Qualifying draw as they are away to Wrexham, it would be nice to see Hyde win that match and get Oldham in 1st Round but Wrexham are hard team and I think Wrexham will win that match. :(

Considering the (<() season that Hyde are having, with only two drawn matches to show in all their league matches, it seems strange that Wrexham were one of those two sides in a 2-2 draw.

The club chairman has spoke publically, which I read as there being issues behind the scene between players and manager
The reason he gives for the sacking as well as results were
I don't think it was a particularly happy dressing room for a number of reasons. I didn't see much improvement.

"There is no doubt the team need something different to help them get that run of wins."

Peter Taylor has been named caretaker manager at Gillingham this afternoon

Looks like Roy is going for the attack again. Hope he's ok as 2 attacking line ups in a row isn't very Roy like!
England XI: Hart, Smalling, Baines, Gerrard, Cahill, Jagielka, Townsend, Carrick, Sturridge, Rooney, Welbeck

Poland have dropped Artur Boruc who appeared one of the most inform goalkeepers in Europe at the moment for Wojciech Szczesny

Incidentally, the FA Cup 3rd qualifying round saw yet another disgraceful scenario of supporter trouble and fighting, as in the match between Atherstone and Barrow which Barrow were leading 4-0 at half-time, the Atherstone supporters section suddenly saw a number of the home fans running onto the pitch in an attempt to fight the Barrow fans opposite. Both sides in the second half were affected by this and there was no further scoring in the game. I just hope the FA makes an example of the Atherstone club as a result of stupidity of some of their fans. You just cannot allow matters like this to remain unpunished and an example that the FA will act very quickly indeed as a message to other clubs as a salutary warning.
I presume they thought they could get the match abandoned by doing that.

Condolences to the spectators who were injured in this disgraceful incident, and hopefully the perpetrators will be identified and brought to justice (it is reported that one of the injured was an 88 year old man).

England are off to Brazil. 2-0 victors. Steven Gerrard grabbing the second with 4 minutes to go.

Özil is on fire today, glad we've already played them this season. Meanwhile at the Britannia it's 0-0 largely thanks Asmir Begovic and wba not getting a stonewall penalty

At Glanford Park, the first half was pretty even, with perhaps Exeter just shading in, and just about deserving their 1-0 lead at half time.

However, the second half was all Scunthorpe United, but Exeter played the perfect counter attacking game and ran out 4-0 winners, depsite not getting very many touches of the ball....

Not a happy chappy now!

Bournemouth have just scored at the City Ground. No doubt bb21 will be pleased (although goodness knows where all that injury time came from)

Hyde must wonder what they have to do to obtain their first win of the season as away at Dartford, they went 2-0 down after 15 minutes...then amazingly went 3-2 up...but lost 4-3..<(

That what happens when teams are not doing well but Hyde scoring three goals which is improving so maybe next time they play (I think is FA Cup game against Wrexham) they might beat them and get Oldham in first Round. :)

Oldham finally won league game (since 24th Aug) as they beat Carlisle 1-0, not good game to watch be win is win and first time this season we kept a clean sheet too. :D Now we got Wolves on Tues night and if we get point against them then I be happy.

My second team for this season Stockport waste two goal lead to draw 2-2 against Gloucester City mean they sit 11th in table but are nine point behide Boston who are fifth in table.

I see Man Utd are not doing well at Old Trafford this season as they can only draw 1-1 against Southampton who are doing well (4th in table) and believe something happen in Chelsea game where when Chelsea equaliser is shouldn't been allowed as Eto'o kicked the ball away as Cardiff keeper bounced the ball. :? maybe it one of these thing were it better watching Match of the day later to see what happened in that game.

3-1 win away at Maidenhead means we're no longer bottom of the Skrill south.

Including 2 goals in 1 minute,
a brilliant strike from 25 yards out by our captain Jermyn.
Followed By on loan AFCB Bournemouth forward Brandon Goodship pouncing on,
on loan AFC Bournemouth midfielder Josh wakefield's parried shot.

Took 56 away today including me, another plus.

Actually I was most pleased that I spoilt someone's accumulator.

I was on the train last night in the Liverpool area and overheard some drunk guy proclaiming to his mates loudly that he had a tenner on an accumulator on Everton, Forest, MK Dons and Burton. He thought Forest was the safest of the lot. I imagine he had a bit of a heart attack when the equaliser went in. <D

Disappointed to say the least. Two points dropped at home :( and two TPL points dropped too! <(

As much as I love my club, I agree that it was indeed two points dropped for Forest today. You could have been out of sight in the first half. Funny old game, eh?

Who?

He doing well at Leeds since he leave Latics and amazing to think he only really started playing well for Oldham after he score two goal against Liverpool in FA Cup Fourth Round tie.

I see Tottenham beat Aston Villa 2-0 and it not been bad week for Townsend who score Tottenham first goal too.

The way Man Utd have been playing this season the Top 5 as it now could end up like that come May 12th but with Tottenham in top 4 and Liverpool in fifth places.

Villa's problem was simple today, no final product. They could very easily have drawn, despite all the stats being against them, but their play in and around the 18 yard box was so, so poor. Also didn't note much of an atmosphere at Villa Park, upper Holte End were noisy but the rest of it was silent. Spurs on the other hand looked very good, Townsend was on fire and Saldado looks to be finding his feet.

Arsenal's problem is that they always trail off around the New Year. Whilst I think they will run it close this year I still expect either Chelsea or Man City to win come May.

Happy with a point against Liverpool at home even after we had a man sent off.

I see World Cup play offs draw took place today.

Portugal v Sweden

Greece v Romania

Ukraine v France

Iceland v Croatia

Greece, France and Croatia look more likely to qualify for World Cup but Portugal v Sweden is hard one to call, I think Sweden can beat Portugal and qualify for World Cup which mean second best player in world wouldn't be at world Cup then.

BBC sport is making a big thing that either Ibrahimovic or CR7 will not be there.
In honesty I'd say France and Ukraine will be hard to call as well.

Was anyone surprised to see that Iceland made the play-offs ?

No more surprised than seeing Iran and Honduras already in the final!
