A fitting ending for a good FA Cup match. When Oldham went 2-1 down just after half-time, Everton began to control the midfield, but once Oldham made their second half substitutions, the match was far more even and the Oldham pressure in the last five minutes brought its just reward. Matt Smith was not at all fazed by the Everton defence and it was two good saves from Howard that prevented him scoring, but that towering header was worthy of a goal at any standard of football.

In note of everyone saying Exeter for League 2, only if they have more away games than home games in the run in! There away record is one of the best in the top 4 leagues, their home record one of the worst!

apparently Liverpool and Swansea played today in the league. 5-0 win to Liverpool. Didnt even know the game was being played!
Swansea fielded a very much weakened team, obviously with one eye on next Sunday.
BBC have put in their live feed Liverpool havent scored many goals this season, and today made a change.
A look at the league table show only the Manchester teams, chelsea, arsenal and spurs have scored more, and only Manchesters, Chelsea and Arsenal have a better goal difference. Not bad for a team who BBC say havent scored many this season!

I know we are into the last third of the season but I'd like your predictions for who is going up and down in the Championship, League 1, League 2 & Conference.

Championship

Cardiff and Crystal Palace with Watford via play off

Bristol City, Peterborough and Wolves get relegated.

League One

Sheff Utd and Doncaster with Coventry via play off

Bury, Colchester, Hartlepool and Portsmouth get relegated with Oldham finish 20th in table.

League Two

Exeter, Gillingham, Port Vale with Rotherham via play off

Accrington and Barnet get relegated

Conference

Newport with Wrexham via play off

Barrow, Braintree, Telford and I hope I'm wrong but Hyde.

^^ Quite hard that conference one as all teams in bottom 11 have got aleast four games in hand part from Telford.

Meh, I'd take 4 points from the next 3 games. We never win at Brum and Palace/Forest are usually bogey sides as well. Two tough away games after, Cardiff after them. We've a tough run coming up. Its a shame, that even after a run of 21 points from 10 games, that were still within a defeat away of dropping into the bottom three

I personally would like the following down:
Barnsley, Huddersfield, Wolves but think it'll be Bristol City, Peterborough and Wolves.

Leeds fans superb today, simply superb. 6000 warriors travelled over the hills today, warriors I tell you.

It was embarrasing how bad our team were but we refused to be silenced, best away fans in the country without a doubt.

You'd have thought there was 60,000 Leeds fans in that stadium today we were so loud and proud.

Was the penalty actually a penalty? I haven't seen it on the tv and at the ground we thought initially the ref had blown his whistle for offside or something, it looked like a very very soft penalty. Not that it would have mattered very much, Leeds were horrific.

Never have we been further away from getting back to the Premier League. Ah well, we have fun wherever we go.

First off, 3 wins out of 3 at home, and another 2 home games coming up, I think Scunthorpe will be safe now

Secondly, Yeovil V Scunthorpe yesterday ....

2 diabolical decisions by the ref cost us a chance of getting 3 points, and Brian Laws will now serve a touchline ban.

Akpo Sodje was clean through on goal just before half time and is brought down by Webster. Free kick and a red card should have been given, instead, the ref gives nothing.

The second incident was the Yeovil penalty. Kennedy wins the ball cleanly, yet the Yeovil player tumbles anyway, and the penalty was given.

It's a moot point however, as Scunthorpe didn't deserve anything from the match.

Anyway, something that might just interest our outspoken Championship correspondant .....

It's been the worst season overall for years.

And i'm not just saying that because of how crap and hopeless Leeds have been plus Man Utd's domination of PL.

I just haven't been that inspired at all this season, just the other week I was sat in my hotel room, watching Liverpool v WBA and it was just crap, everything was crap. There have been many games that have been like that.

Perhaps from a PL point of view, I suppose last season will be hard to follow but it just looks like many teams are going through the motions, everything is predictable and boring.

I mean, who honestly sees Reading doing anything at Old Trafford tonight? Who see's Bayern v Arsenal being anything but a game dominated by midfielders playing nice little triangle passes between themselves?

I'll turn up on Wednesday night to Elland Road for the Leeds-Blackpool match but will I be excited and am I looking forward to it? No. I see it as an inconvience to be honest because i'll have to change my working plans to be near Leeds that day. In the past, I wouldn't have thought twice about changing my plans around football.

Le Fondre is a big Man Utd fan so I doubt he'll do anything.

We looked at him when he was at Rotherham and decided against signing him, we also looked at Troy Deeney before he went to Watford and decided against signing him as well. Yet more classic Leeds United rubbish decisions.

I think Man Utd will win tonight, Chelsea won't slip up against Boro (whenever that game is) and so we'll have a dream TV fixture...

Yeah, I noted that in my 2nd post. Does mean a lot of sides like Brum, Huddersfield, Ipswich, Wolves have been dragged into what was 2 months ago a 4 team league for relegation, its now 3 from 8 plus!

All 1/4 final ties will be televised. My predictions of the order will be:
Millwall v Blackburn (Sat 12.45, ironically this match was due to be played on that day, and the same venue in the Championship)
Manchester City v Barnsley (Sat 17.30)
Oldham or Everton v Wigan (Sun 13.30)
Manchester United or Reading v Middlesborough or Chelsea (Sun 16.00)

But I do think the last tie on my list could be changed if Middlesborough and Chelsea draw as the replay would have to be played on that day due to Chelsea's Europa League exploits

Paolo Di Canio on resigning as Swindon manager: "It is with great regret that I find myself having to make this further press statement... As I had previously stated, there have been a number of broken promises made by the club over the time that I have been manager of Swindon Town.

"Despite these problems, I have delivered everything and more that was asked of me, by achieving promotion last year as champions and competing this season for promotion to the Championship and being just three points from top place a year earlier than expected."

"I entered into a temporary arrangement with the proposed new owners to continue in my role as manager but all this was agreed subject to Football League approval for the purchase of the club being granted by 1700 GMT on Monday, 18 February.
