Fergie Time has become accepted within the game which just goes to show how people have become completely de-sensitised to Man Utd being given an advantage by refs.

Did you notice how "Fergie" had a cunning plan to use against West Ham, who were ready to counter the effects of "Fergie Time" at Old Trafford last night, by arranging to score their goal in the first minute.

Newcastle will be safe, there are at least 4 worst teams in the PL this season. You are going through a blip atm, 4 defeats in a row is not good but 1 point on Sat (I know your at home, not sure who your playing) could turn your season around. Alan Pardew is the right man for the job and will turn it around. Newcastle overachieved (imo) last season and if you finish in top 10 take it as a successful season

Agreed with this, Said to a Newcastle supporting relative they are safe simply because of how poor QPR, Southampton, Reading, Villa and Sunderland are.
What are the Villa fans opinions of Bent being left out. Reading between the lines from what Lambert said he isnt trying hard enough in training, and has his cant be bothered attitude he seems to get at every club he's been at after around 18 months. Its of interest clubs have always been quick to get rid after 2 years!

You have a lot in common with SS4 and being an Aston Villa supporter - Ba and Cisse do seem to have gone off the boil - perhaps you need Andy Carroll back ?

Bent had a chance at the start of the season to prove himself and he didn't really take it. He's a classic goal poacher but at the moment we need someone who can create chances which is what Benteke is doing at the moment. I'd also hazard a guess that Bent sees himself as a big name and someone we can't afford to carry for the few chances he gets.

The more cynical may suggest it's to avoid the appearance fee that we'd have to pay Sunderland if he played more, evidently this is more plausible if he's on his way out in January

It devalues actually playing in the champions league, isn't the tournament for Europe's best the pinnacle of club football.

The idea of a 'European Super League' started with the formation of the Champions League this is just another step down that path.

It will apparently be called "The Money Cup"

In my view The Champions League devalued the European Cup as it's name is a contradiction in terms .....ie not all the teams are Champions

I'd like to go back to ....

Knowing Platini it's a ploy to get more crap teams, who never win their League (Liverpool being a prime example) more 'easy money' without bothering too much about actually achieving something at 'home'

As Beckham seems to be somewhat under the thumb I suggest that his wife may well be the instigator of his next move.

Monaco would suit her down to the ground, as it's full of millionaires wives with nothing to do all day but sit by the pool and talk about their latest surgical enhancements.
Can't see him in England.

Don't forget that teams like Liverpool attract a huge number of "so called" fans in places like Asia. He is not daft and it is all about money as there is potential to attract more audiences in the developing world if teams like Liverpool are involved.

Not very likely he'll be in the CL as AS Monaco are in Ligue 2, the second division of French football. I'm not his number one fan but Beckham and set pieces are still a lethal combination, I don't actually blame any club for going after him. Of course, it would be a good way to boost the club's profile too.

Inter have gone downhill since the Special One left and Milan have gone to pieces over the last 4-5 seasons, the only real team in there that are on a par with Barca, Man Utd et al are Juventus at the moment, but they aren't that close in all honesty.
