Yes, Crewe Alexandra beat Cheltenham Town 2-0 and the team had come into good form in the final part of the season. Travelling fans will find that it is only a short walk from the railway station to their ground at Gresty Road.

I always look forward to matches at Boundary Park when they play Oldham Athletic.

@gnolife - The "AGM Cup" isn’t for a week or so. My guess is that at least two teams will stay in the BSP, One in BSN & BSS and one in the Evo Stick Premier as both Darlo and Durham have gone to make a 24 team league Northern League (Durham were Evo Stick Premier level) I am not sure where Kettering will go

@Paul Sidorczuk - Yes we have signed a one year lease at Dean Street. We pay them £25k per year, we keep our gate receipts, and half the beer sales. We keep all other sales such as pies and programmes etc. My view is that this lease will have some kind of roll over clause as i cant see us been back in Darlo in the time scales advertised.

I think both Bath & Hayes will go down and the four spots will be filled with the promoted Clubs. It seems the sensible thing to do.

Hyde & Nuneaton have been promoted from BSN while Woking & Dartford have come up from BSS

It is good to see that the club did complete all its fixtures and even had the enjoyment of beating Kettering Town 3-1 at home in front of almost 2,000 spectators, in the final match of the season.

At least Darlington will not have to travel far to a certain "away" match at Shildon, next season..

I cant imagine Hyde would be prevented from playing in the BSP.

We hada decent croed for the last game v Kettering but the test is how we do at Shildon. There is to be an appeal gainst the demotion based on the fact that we do hold the original footballing share. Who knows what the FA will do.

We still await sight of thier detailed reasoning behind our demotion.

I hope you aren't implying that Sheringham should have made an even worse challenge?!

I respect Hazard for going to Chelsea. With Kalou gone and Malouda almost certain to follow, there's a place in the midfield for him there, almost guaranteed; it will allow him to develop and get the time he needs. If he went to City he'd have to compete with Nasri (whose career has been destroyed there), Y. Toure, Milner et al for a place in the XI, plus I don't think Man Utd play the formation that suits him (attacking midfielders; 4-2-3-1 etc).

Yes it is shocking, but they failed to mention Ingerlands hooligans in recent tournaments fighting and causing bother. Singing ten German bombers and stand up if you win the war etc. There will be trouble on the terraces and in the streets at this tournament especially after Ingerland get pumped in all their group games

The matter of Chelsea and Manchester United wanting the same player occurred some years ago when John Obi Mikel was playing in Norway as a young player and being watched regularly by scouts from both these two clubs. As soon as he turned 18 years of age, matters moved very quickly and at a press conference, Mikel appeared holding a Manchester United team shirt with his name and the number 21 on it, saying how pleased he was to make the move.

The next thing was that he went missing when he should have been playing in a Norwegian Cup game for Lyn Oslo and then he refused to return to the club and it transpired that Chelsea had become involved, leading to him making a visit with an agent to London. Both Lyn Oslo and Manchester United then made a formal complaint each to FIFA. The next thing was Mikel then went back on his previous statement and said that it was Chelsea who he now wanted to play for.

The final outcome was that in June 2006, Chelsea agreed to pay Lyn Oslo £4 million and Manchester United £12 million....half in June 2006 and half in June 2007.

Yes, I remember the case of Obi Mikel well. Must be one of the only times in history a club has been payed for a player that never played for them! United and Chelsea were also both after Essien too were they not? (Honestly can't remember it too well)

Hazard said he wanted to go where he would play the most. Honestly speaking, Chelsea is then the best place for him, as much as I'd have loved him to have come to United
