You mean Mr. Relegation kept Villa in the premiership? I'm not a Villa fan but IMO he is the main reason they are still fighting to stay up.

I would not say the teams below have been worse (Bolton being one) sometimes teams have a run where their play is off, don`t mean they are rubbish or worse.
I don`t see many other supporters complain quite like Villa fans on here and I would think there are a few fans that have a team below Villa.

While I'm still supportive of Alan Knill, I am starting to question his tactics, because most matches the team doesn't start playing until the 2nd half.

And seventeen draws is not a terrible performance, West Ham finished 3rd in the Championship and they've drawn fourteen! They could have still finished in that position if they matched Villa's tally.

After today's results,I am sure that Queens Park Rangers are now not looking forward to next week's visit to "the House of the Magic Carpets", where they will now be expected to play the part of "the fall-guy" and enable Manchester City to become the Premiership Champions.

Taking being 'sporting' to the limit, we lost 1-0 at Tannadice yesterday, all possession and not end product, Champions or no, it wasn't a good performance, just the 20 points clear then
Looks like a new winner of the EPL if it goes with the form book, Old Trafford was SO 'flat' after United's 2-0 win, and I don't see QPR getting anything from City on United's behalf next week, although QPR and Wigan , for me will survive in the League. Here end's the 'Predictions'...
One more thing, all the 'chat' about City 'buying' a title? Think about the money United have spent, Chelski and Blackburn 'buying' titles in years gone by?? So IF City win it, fair play to 'em I say...Still refreshing to see spending at Anfield doesn't work though!

I have said it all season and that was that the title will come down to the final game in that we would beat United in the final derby and manage to stuff it up against QPR in the final game.
To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if that happened but then again I think that is the thinking of a typical City fan, in that we can stuff up great opportunities...
I also found it rather ironic that Sir Alex McTaggart made remarks about how the City home crowd will be "on the ref" "just like Monday" when we beat them, given that United are the worst home crowd for this I think it's about time he shut the hell up. I'm not even going to point out the irony of his remarks on Monday about Mancini "hounding" the officials...

I think the problem many people see with "buying titles" is this.
Manchester United can afford to spend big because they have massive income. Income that dwarfs pretty much any club in England. 359.8 Million Euros in 2011 compared to City's 152.8 Million. City can only spend big because of their owner pumping massive amounts into the club.

City's owner has done it cleverly though through sponsorship deals worth ridiculously large amounts, whereas Chelsea have had it pumped straight in through Roman.
Citys owners have sponsored the stadium through one of their businesses in excess of 100 million a year.
The result is City will pass the financial fair play rules as sponsorship deals are acceptable, whereas Chelsea will not, as Roman has placed the money in himself not as sponsorship.

It would also be worth pointing out that United signed a frankly ludicrous deal with DHL to sponsor their training kits, clothing and other non-AON branded gear then complained about our new deal to sponsor our stadium. The typical double standard.
As for FFP, I think it's a total crock as it's not going to stop spending in the game it will just move the prominence of football from the Champions League in Europe to the South American leagues, or the middle east. (I'm not sure I worded it correctly).

I think West Ham will take some beating in the Championship play-off final. I can easily see them returning to the Premiership next season. As with all clubs coming up I hope they spend wisely if they need to or consolidate their team to give them the best chance of staying up.

Double standards?
The stadium deal is worth in excess of £100m per year and the Man Utd training kit is only £10m per year. It's not double standards at all, Man Utd can entice sponsors to spend that sort of money on a kit because they are a global brand, something Man City are not, yet anyway.
It wasn't just Man Utd that questioned the stadium deal, many clubs did, had every right to do so and are still doing so. From the outside, it does look like a very blatant attempt to fudge the financial fair play rules given the percentages involved will allow Manchester City to still set aside an enormous wage bill. Given the extremely close ties between the airline, government and Abu Dhabi royal family of which a member owns Man City, its blatantly obvious that other clubs are going to want clarification.
