Here's my prediction for the last round of fixtures in League Two. Prior to this weekend's fixtures, Crawley, Crewe and Barnet are the clubs in the positions that will mean the most on Saturday evening.

The matches that matter are those at Accrington (vs Crawley), Burton (vs Barnet), Crewe (vs Aldershot), Hereford (vs Torquay), Port Vale (vs Oxford) and Southend (vs Macclesfield). In particular, the match at Hereford matters at both ends of the table, for the loser - if there is one - is doomed to fail in their quest (well, barring a set of freak results in Torquay's case).

You will note that my prediction spares Barnet, gifts Crewe a second chance - and sends Southend up. I would then tip Crewe themselves for the Play-Offs in this scenario, given the hot streak they have been on recently.

I might do a £1 Accumulator using these results for the fun of it

Burton Albion with their 2-0 away win at Macclesfield Town last weekend, played a decisive role in the relegation of Macclesfield Town to the Conference Premiership next season and with them having the home team advantage, can see them also having a hand in the fate of Barnet, should other results cause this particular match to be the critical one that decides the fate of the other team to be relegated to the Conference Premiership.

Hereford certainly provided something of a shock with their result last weekend and they do have a superior goal difference to Barnet. They do have the incentive of their match being at home, but I do accept that Torquay who have made the play-offs, will be a difficult proposition to have to face.

It appears they will try to buy the assets of the club without entering into a CVA. This will leave the creditors with nothing. This is morally repugnant to many of us but is the only way the club will survive.

If this deadline is not met the club will be liquidated.

Is the season over? If Darlington get liquidated as of tomorrow, what would happen to their results over the last season? At a brief glance this might not affect the play-off places (possibly the final order) but could change the relegation spots. I foresee splendid disputes ahead.

@ Oswyntail - good question. I hadn’t really thought about it as our season finished last weekend and the playoffs have begun. I assume the league will just "freeze" the table at the final whistle last Saturday

@tigerroar - Even if we do survive someone will benefit. We will start next season at best in Evostick North. We are leaving our ground to share with a non league side locally. Shildon seems to be the favourite.

This means we cant compete in BSN as the ground wont meet the required grading standards. Plus the league wont allow it as we have no CVA nor have we paid our creditors. We will, therefore, likely be relegated through the Evo stick premier league and into the division below. The chances are we will start next season with a hefty points deduction (think Luton!)

However the talks are still going on. 31/4 hours after the deadline. A press conference is to be held at 1600. I guess we will know then!

We have been saved without a CVA which means we will face further sanction form the FA. It is expected this will mean demotion to Evo Stick North 1 and a large points deduction.

TBH it doesnt matter as once it was clear no CVA could be agreed & the lease for the ground was unaffordbale or unattractive we were looking at a relegation to the Evo Stick Premier AND it looked like we had no club yesterday afernoon! We do need to find a gorund to play in very quickly, with Shildon beinf the favorite

The players also deserve great credit as they have agreed to defer the 100k that they were owed as a collective. Most of these boys (and most are boys!) will be on about the same a year as you and me. They agreed to go without a quarter of a years wages in order that the club survives.

I feel very sorry for the smaller creditrs caught up in this. It is morally wrong to walk away without paying your bills. Therefore we are trying, as fans, to use these businesses in order to pay them back. The former chairman however will get nothing and will get no sympathy.

We now await the new share prospectus that will set out the vision for the future (as all shareholders money is being returned as the terms of the club survival changed so much they could not continue) when we will be asked to return our money to the club. We need 200k by the end of June. I think we will get it just form the fans!
