Live on ITV1 now.

Unless they cut away to a silent newsroom again. Did it happen to anyone else? Although it may have been isolated to HD, Twitter is full of it and there was an apology during coverage.

Luckliy a goal was not missed this time, but ITV have a history in cutting away coverage whether it be football or F1.

I think Bayern will win it, it's being played at their home ground (Allianz Arena) and in front of a partisan crowd, a lot of people in that stadium will be wanting a Bayern victory.

dont be silly.. They will be allocated a certain amount of tickets and thats it they'll have same amount of fans as Chelsea with bar those who applied back in march who may take one team or the other. the rest will be corporate seats. IIRC its 17,500 for each team

Nice to see Sky Sports News 'harping on' about The Special One and Ronaldo 'not being' in the Champions League Final in May:oops: , and as an afterthought they mention it will be a 'Bayern Munich v Chelsea' Final...assuming Drogba can 'stay on his feet' it should be a decent final...hopefully

Poor managers do not generally finish 2nd in the top flight in Scotland unless at the Old Firm. Poor managers don't take clubs from relegation to a 3rd-place finish in the top flight in 3 seasons. Poor managers don't win 7 trophies (note - that's significantly more than "a cup") and have the better of "Saint" Martin O'Neill while spending £-13 million net and slashing the wage bill. Poor managers do not go toe-to-toe with the likes of France and Italy while in charge of Scotland. Anyone would struggle at Villa right now while the chairman releases next to no money for transfers and sells your best players.

When McLeish is given a realistic transfer budget and wage bill to match your heady demands, and still fails to deliver, then come back and tell me he is out of his depth.

Good managers generally don't finish 3rd when managing Rangers, or indeed take them on a 10 game without a win run (their worst ever)
Yes he got Motherwell into the top two. The next two seasons were relegation battles. Yes they went toe to toe with Italy and France. Losing 3 of the 4 games
Good managers don't manage to get a 138 year record for the worst ever home record in a season. Good managers don't tend to preside over teams who score on average 1 goal a game over two seasons. Good managers tend not to have 80% of a crowd telling them to **** Off out of their club. I am sure the likes of Norwich, Swansea, West Brom, Wigan, Everton, Fulham, Stoke all have considerably smaller budgets than mcleish to work with. All will finish above Villa this year.
I don't have heady demands. I just want to watch my team play good attacking football and occasionally make me jump out of my seat.
Mcleish is tactically inept. Incapable of making a game winning change. His defensive approach to games is stifling our young players.
His record in the Premier League with us and Birmingham shows he is way out of his depth. 7 trophies with Rangers means nothing.

I thought they did the double over France?

Indeed - however the first match was while Walter Smith was still in charge. That shouldn't take anything away from what was a fantastic achievement. Sadly, George Burley came in and destroyed us.

John Terry given permission by UEFA to collect Champions League IF Chelski win it in May, and up to 30 winners medals for the winning side to cover all staff and their pets obviously:roll:
What a joke:oops:
If you play in a final you deserve a medal, and the Immediate Staff, anything else is a farce

I would love to see the FA only give championship winners medals to the players who took part in the final game.

No it isnt. If you played 10 games for a premiership team and then moved and the team you used to play for won the premiership you would still get a medal.

People who contribute to the cause over the course of a competition should be rewarded even if they were stupid enough to get sent off in the semi final.

They wont win it so its immaterial.

I think it's madness that John Terry would be allowed to hold the trophy. I mean, why the hell would Bayern Munich allow him to join their celebration?

I think it will be close but bayern will edge it, i can see the home advantage being huge.

4-2 now at the Liberty. Seems there's a goal there every time I leave the room.

Come on Newcastle - get three points. We need to turn over West Brom and hope everyone else loses

edit: 3-0 to wigan <(

first goal was williamson's fault... AGAIN. how was he, 6ft something, beaten in the air by a midget like victor moses?!

Unfortunately Mike Williamson is not Premier League quality. Now 4 - 0.

Pathetic.

^^ 4-0. Poor newcastle.

In more ways than one.<(

Hopefully this will act as a reality check to us. They need to learn that if we are going to aspire to be a top 4 team we simply can't perform like this, we've done it several times this season.
v Tottenham 5 - 0
v Fulham 5 - 2

Anybody think we can have a repeat of a certain game against Arsenal!?

Obviously you need a manager famed for defensive steel, may I suggest Alex McLeish - we'll even pay you
