They did play well, especially when Drogba was actually on the pitch in a vertical position!

Nearer the end, they did seem as if they were under a lot of pressure - but it did pay off.

I doubt they'll be able to do the same in Barcelona though. It would be nice to think so (even as a Spurs fan!) but I really doubt it.

Chels are almost certain to get stuffed - only a heroic and fortunate defensive display will do it.

The thing that is not commonly understood about Barcelona is that they are often poor (by their overall standards) when away. Messi in particular. They are highly likely to improve in the 2nd leg.

Darlington were relegated to BSN on Saturday after throwing away a 2-0 lead against Bath.

However the important thing is that we look like we will still have a club to support next year! It all hinges on the proposed CVA with the former chairman. However, he has held so many differing positions since putting us into administration that there is no certainty what his position will be come the actual creditors meeting. As the major creditor he holds all the cards!

The CVA must be agreed by the 30th of May for us to be allowed into BSN, if not it may be the Evostick league or lower!

We have raised c.310k with more pledged by local business once the CVA is agreed. That should take us over the £500k threshold we need to make a go of things. Next season will be hard mind at whatever level we end up

You have been put down there by crooks IMO (Reynolds and Singh) yet its you, the fans, which have to get the club out of this mess. I liked my days out to Darlington when Wycombe played there, and I do miss going there, but I don't miss the white elephant of a stadium you have. Why couldn't Reynolds build a 10,000 seater stadium with planning permission for building bigger, that way I believe you wouldn't be in too much of a mess.

Judgement weekend for Wolves. We may have been down for some time but this is the first weekend they can actually be officially relegated by the wrong results (QPR beating Tottenham and Wolves losing to Man City).

There are currently odds of 100:1 for Wolves to stay up. It's achievable:

1. QPR lose all games, Bolton, Blackburn, all win no more than one game
2. Wolves win 3 out of 4 games (can lose the other) (win all 4 if the above win any)

Going to be a tight season if Wolves win tomorrow. Could go down to the final match with Wigan. (Man City, Swansea, Everton, Wigan).

At half time Blackburn are winning and Bolton are drawing 1-1.

Tuesday's game at home to Bolton will be very important, if we get something from that game I think we'll be safe

How have newcastle found some of there signings who had no other interest, and so bought them for next to nothing, and ended so high up the league. Liverpool take note on how to scout, Newcastle got 3 players for what they sold Andy Carroll for, and all are playing and scoring. Excellent business.

Of course we were. We were not in a bad position and Hughton had got us promoted within one season so we were rightly ****ed off. And Pardew had not had a good time as a manager previously so it was an odd decision.

We have a good network headed by Carr who has made most of the signings - even when others didnt want them i.e. Ba and its great that Pardew has got them working well together.

Pardew has to back it up next season, he has started well at every club he's managed but for whatever reason not backed it up. Of course Newcastle fans kicked up a stink after the way Hughton was treated after what he did for them, what fans wouldnt?
Liverpools problems stem in the main from their awful manager Dogleash, not the scouting or anything else.
