I always had Wakefield down for this, and it is if you look at the administrative area, but not the city (yes, it is a city!) itself.

I've just checked the statistics, and the entire City district has a population of 325,000! I had no idea the City was so large. Of course, I knew it was a City - it became a City before both Leeds and Bradford - but always thought it applied only to Wakefield itself and not the currounding area. Another Carlisle -esque City then, in which the locals would refer to the main settlement as the city and the wider area as the City?

WBA and West Bromwich are in Sandwell - it has nothing to do with Dudley or Dudley Metropolitan Borough.

Plymouth are now 3pts a drift in the relegation zone for exiting the football league. I still think we were stupid getting rid of Peter Reid for an inexperienced manager. Obviously a cost saving exercise.

How the hell he could stand there with a perfectly good view of Drogba being hauled back then say it's only a goal kick, I do not know ....

My opinion is that it was a blatent penalty, and the defender should have been shown a red card, as he did deny Drogba a clear goal scoring opportunity.

I'd honestly back them to win the Europa league, outclassed us over the two legs, and a lot of their attacking players (Herrera,Susaeta, Llorente, Munain etc.) to be linked with big money moves in the summer - all 27 or younger

You should know how it works by now. Everyone in Cornwall, Surrey and Malaysia, and scores of others everywhere else you look, supports United. My suggestion is to live in Manchester itself (just not too close to Old Trafford) - assuming you don't mind City of course!

I have to say that was the most comprehensive 2-1 defeat I have ever seen! If that had been a different kind of match played under the Marquess of Queensbury Rules then the referee would've stopped the fight. Even the BBC match report admits that Manchester United got a footballing lesson tonight. An absolute joy to watch - and shows up English football for what it really is - **** poor.

We have not been the same since Christmas and it's bloody annoying - especially when all of my colleagues are reds with totally "unbiased" & "educated" opinions...

In my mind, only Arsenal deserve to have reached the next round. It's not as though Milan dominated them when they won 4-0, unlike the reverse 3-0.

no they dont in cornwall. Us cornish lot seem to all hate united, know very few united fans, infact I know more stoke city fans than united,

I can't be accused of this. Been going up to OT 4/5 times the past 4/5 years, haven't been this season due to being down in Exeter for uni. Not a glory supporter either - supported the team my dad always has and been doing it for 9 years! If I was a glory supporter I'd have given up on the team when we didn't win the league 3 seasons in a row!

I also actively support my local clubs - Hereford United back home and I've been to 4 Exeter City games here, also going on Saturday against Preston North End.

I'll admit you can say that some Man U fans are glory supporters, and that we have a higher than average percentage of fans outside the city the team is from compared to other clubs, but you can't say that about me!

I had a friend at high school who used to "support" Arsenal during the early 2000s. Come ~2005 though, and few others and I learned that he actually "supported" Chelsea, and had "never" "supported" Arsenal in his life. Of course, it was a load of rubbish...

Now that's glory hunting. He probably supports Manchester City now.
