It is hard to believe that they did not post a score of over ten goals in the match, such was their superiority over the German side. We are now in the final stages of this competition, now that the teams from the Champions League have been added. There are some very well-known football teams in this competition which make a nonsense of some press comments at the start of this season's competition that this league was of a poor standard.

It is interesting to see that both the first and second place teams from the English Premiership were defeated last night.

Pretty damning article on the STV website concerning the situation at Rangers ....From the look of that, it appears that Craig Whyte could be charge with numerous offences, including, but not limited to, tax evasion and fraud.

The Scottish FA have now made a statement in which it is said that Craig Whyte is now not considered to be a fit and proper person to hold a position in Scottish association football, following the findings of the independent enquiry into Rangers football club.

They have also made a statement that confirms that Rangers football club will now face a charge of bringing the game into disrepute.

Very true. The English press have been particularly damning about some of the European clubs in the competition. I was surprised about how poorly they spoke of Ajax, and I wasn't shocked that they gave us a tough time.

Bilbao are a better side than they are given credit for - Llorente, Munain, Javi Martinez, Susaeta, and Ander Herrera are all quality players who have been linked with big clubs... and always end up at my side on fifa manager

On a serious note though, Bilbao away is a tough trip, but Rafael's defending for that last goal showed his defensive weaknesses.

The two-horse race at the top of the Conference Premiership looks like being interesting, with the Friday night match seeing Fleetwood Town winning 2-0 away to Kidderminster Harriers. This now means that Fleetwood Town are eight points clear of Wrexham (who still have two matches in hand).

Have I said that I expect to win the Championship? I don't think so.
I certainly think the squad is more than good enough to, but the tactics the manager employs are not.
In fact, I would rather we didn't have Allardyce at all, employed a manager who wasn't tactically one-dimensional, gave youth players a decent crack, played the kind of football that West Ham fans like to see (quick, on the floor, to feet) and stayed in the Championship for a couple of seasons to rebuild properly.
The owners will tell you that we have to get promoted this season, yet will also tell you that the business model of playing in the Olympic Stadium is still viable playing in the Championship. So one of these is a fib, and I believe that it's the former.
