Instead, the players have let down AVB, the club and the fans. I've read that John Terry (why is that no surprise?) led a players revolt against AVB because his plans over the next few seasons were to replace the over 30s with younger players.
That's one of the problems with the modern game (and to a point society in general) - a lack of respect. Player power (or its social equivalent) is becoming omnipresent. Gone are the days of managers effectively being able to sort out the problem players...
Speaking of John Terry, is his trial thing still set for July 9th?
