Chelsea have just announced that to save time and money they have just sacked Roberto Di Matteo

Sacked the wrong man - if the team can't play well together, sack the players. Too many at Chelsea think they are in charge - Terry, Lampard, Cole, Drogba, Cech - but what team could cope with so many over-the-hill superstars and their egos?

I guess that's the Chelsea way. England have the same problem as far as the last bit of the above (the bit in bold) goes!

Attached is my predicted end-of-season table for the PL, suing the feature on the BBC Sport website. As you can see, I don't expect any of the bottom four teams to improve!

I shall be having a go of that. I will provide my response shortly.

Last time I tried a BBC Predictor was the World Cup where I accurately predicted Spain would beat the Dutch in the Final. (N.B.: Before anyone suggests I'm cheating or did it late, note that I made said prediction before the tournament started.)

In his weekly addresses to the loving support of Leeds United, our dear leader has begun to attack LUST, whilst saying they are a small group that have no influence and are of no importance. Yet he dedicates part of his weekly rant to ranting about them. He started making personal swipes at some of the board of LUST, continually commenting on how they don't attend matches, how one of them lives abroad (says the tax exile from Monaco). Things such as a person purchase history with a company should be covered by the data protection act and by openly discussing the board of LUST's purchase history aswell as their names he is in breach of that, as well as several OFCOM regulations.

With regards to LUST board members not buying tickets, they have been banned from doing so! LUST's press statement on the issue. I would recommend any other Leeds fans on here join up to LUST, it is free this season however when my next chunk of student finance comes in I will be paying up for a full membership. We need change in how the club is run and Ken is making it clear he will not allow these changes to happen whilst he is still here.

I am not part of LUST but Bates/Harvey's actions are appalling, I really hate the way the club is being run at the moment.

As for on the pitch. How unlucky was we against Southampton? Dominated the game but just couldn't score, not helped at all by a ref that clearly wanted to make a name for himself. Saying that, refs have given some bizarre decisions in our favour this season we some odd sendings off for the opposition so I suppose we was likely to get some of it back some time. I thought Danny Webber looked sharp, as did Sam.

Nigel Adkins is a bit of an idiot though. Not sure why he decided to put his hands on Paynter when Paytner appealed for the blatent penalty in the first half. Strange.

Never a dull moment supporting the mighty Leeds. Good to see Grayson has picked up where he left off in management, throwing away big leads in matches. Shame the two Sheffield teams are too useless to take advantage though, much rather the Wendies came up than Town.

Old "Turnip Head" on Five Live made a sensible observation this afternoon.

Mr Taylor suggested all premiership players should have a 20% pay cut with the money saved being used to reduce prices for the fans.

As he correctly observed there is to much money in football today.

AVB at Chelsea will get a multi million payout a banker would be embarrased to receive.

Is this a sensible suggestion ?

I had assumed that he would have been acting as a caretaker manager until the end of the season which is already unlikely to bring "THE" main European trophy to their silverware cabinet......are they actively pursuing a "certain" target with a view to making an early announcement ?

21st April will be interesting to say the least - Sunderland at home when "Saint" O Neill comes back to Villa Park.

However, who's to say the job won't fall permanently to de Matteo? Grant had a similar role back in 2008, and if John Terry could have stayed vertical for another 0.5 seconds, who knows what would have happened then? Grant would have achieved what not even the Special One could: would Grant have stayed on full-time as a result?

Averages are a very slippery scope. Your £150k will distort the average figure, I'd be interesting in taking the median rather than the mode or the mean in the interquartile range

I could and maybe should have guessed that David Moyes would have made that comment. Take note Mr Abramovich!

Noe also that he has been with us for ten years now. Again, take note Mr Abramovich!

I fully agree. It's not as though players can't afford it. But would it encourage some to look elsewhere due to their greed? (See what richw said above.)

Domestic wage caps can work albeit at the currently unpalatable costs of having a weaker league internationally. Personally I would accept a weaker premier league if it meant a stronger England team and a more competitive league.

Global introduction would definitely be best though especially if transfer caps were also brought in.

Perhaps go the same way as rugby. The wage bill is capped, but the cap is overall for the whole squad combined. So for example a club can spend 1 million a week on a squad of 25's wages, if they want to pay 6 players 150k a week, they only have 100k to spend on the other 19 players combined wages.

Just watching Fulham wolves on Sky. Fulham have played an attractive passing game, and have their reward for it currently fulham 5 Wolves 0. admittedly Wolves are poor, but Fulham have played excellent.

Not nice to watch for long-suffering Wolves fans. We might get six points from the upcoming Blackburn and Bolton games and hang on till the end of the season but it doesn't look promising. Wouldn't put it past us to lose both these and beat Man U. Anyway, it's more fun in the Championship...

What not-so-long-ago looked like a title decider of League Two has finished 0-0 between Southend and Crawley - with almost seven minutes of injury time and the home team down to nine men (tsk tsk ). On-loan Bury 'keeper Cameron Belford had a home debut to remember though as he kept Cheat-ley at bay, including double saves, leg saves, and even a penalty save.

Southend are still in the automatic promotion places, while Crawley are down in 6th. The rest of the division play tomorrow.

Will that be enough for Rangers to save the £250k a week they need to slash off the wage bill in order to keep them going until the end of the season?

You have to wonder why the administrators didn't arrange this sooner. If it was arranged in the first week of administration, and the players agreed, Rangers would have saved £500k.

I read a rumour that the charge for the 2 administrators in charge from their company is £600 an hour each.

I wouldn't say he's a failure, especially considering what he did last season as a manager....

Instead, the players have let down AVB, the club and the fans. I've read that John Terry (why is that no surprise?) led a players revolt against AVB because his plans over the next few seasons were to replace the over 30s with younger players.
