Manchester City claim the League Cup after a 0-0 draw AET and a 4-2 Penalty Shootout win v Chelsea, but all the headlines are being written about Kepa's astonishing win v Sarri in a scene I have not seen in any Cup Final.
Sarri has clearly lost the dressing room and authority, but Kepa has basically refused his bosses instructions and is in my mind a sack-able offence.

I've never seen anything like that at any level of football and I don't think Kepa should ever play for the club again. Chelsea had actually played very well but the Kepa incident has over shadowed everything and Sarri has compounded matters with a lame excuse about a misunderstanding.
Which bearing in mind that he has already said in an interview that he can't motivate the players, makes it all the more essential that he should probably start looking at the jobs section in the papers now.
He doesn't need to, he'll be at Roma next season.
He bottled it today after the game though, could have made an example about his authority and kept some integrity by walking before pushed. Walking doesn't get a juicy payoff though.

If they beat Watford in midweek, yes. Then it's Everton at the weekend......
I didn't realise he was lined up for Roma.
It's been a strange few months watching him at work. I thought it looked good for them a few months ago.
It's a bit staggering at the moment. Liverpool could really do with good solid win to get themselves going again.
Just thinking what a mess Chelsea are at the moment and all this Sarri Kepa business shows it. Sarri, seemingly being told to play the whole thing down as a misunderstanding has "controlled speech" written all over it. I just can`t really see him staying. He seems totally out of his depth at Chelsea and Kepa is a disgrace quite frankly.
Sarri's position is untenable, he should have gone on the pitch and dragged Kepa off if necessary and this 'misunderstanding' story is beyond ridiculous. Of course this all detracts from what had been a vastly improved performance by Chelsea.

I think Liverpool will be disappointed not to have won at OT under the circumstances and City are favourites now for me, in fact I think they could well with all four.

Not played Sunday league then? I have seen much worse. it was incredible for a professional game mind.
Aye - like you would walk away from a big pay off just to save face.
Even in Sunday league I've never seen that, I've seen a few players throw a tantrum but I've never seen anyone refuse to come off.

I saw a manager have an argument with a player half way through a game and just walk away, get in his car and go home, never to be seen again! I saw a manager and one of his own players fighting in the car park after a row on the pitch got out of hand! Sunday league is fantastic.

I don't know what the odds are, but watching Ross County play Partick on Saturday, and in spite 4 goals in the second half, they looked pretty poor - I can see Connah's Quay's style of play really doing a number on them

they are international bottle jobs with a vastly over rated manager who seems not to care about wining things.
And on current form Borussia Dortmund might be fancying their chances of overturning that 3-0 lead next week.
