If someone had offered me a 1-1 before 3pm today, I'd have taken it- but based on the admittedly partisan commentary on what should be called BBC Radio West Yorkshire we really should have taken the three points. A brilliant start with Nakhi Wells showing signs that he's adjusting to the step-up from League One, only blemished by what was by the sound of it a very soft penalty decision. Still not sure I agree with Robins' policy of playing with just one 'true' striker though.
Then again, 12 miles down the A62 there's a stark reminder that things could be much much worse!

I should say at this point I've actually quite warmed to Small Heath since moving to the West Midlands; certainly more than I have to them lot out north east anyway

After watching MOD tonight Benteke had numerous chances to bury United and I duly apologise for disparaging your team.
If Liverpool beat Spurs tommorrow things are really going to heat up in the Title Race.

Fair play to Donny, I think they deserved it. Although you'd have thought they had just won the CL given their post match celebrations!
We were pitiful in the first half, better in the 2nd with Michael Tonge's introduction. The decline continues though and things continue to be worrying.
Playing Charlton at Elland Road on Tuesday night, who knows what will happen

With no Champions League now to worry about, Manchester City will be just as determined to go for the Premiership title and there are now not all that many fixtures for them to fulfil.
Remember that Aston Villa took two points off the expected Liverpool points haul in Jamuary this year when they drew 2-2 at Anfield.

I'm a bit nervous about todays game. We looked a bit shaky when Sunderland went for it towards the end on Wednesday.
This makes no sense. Everybody buys the title.
If I wasn't a Liverpool fan, I'd think I'd want Liverpool to win it still, simply due to the number of young English Players in the team. 6 of the starting line up today are English. How many other top half teams have more than half their starting line up as English players?

Well, now this 4-0 win sees Liverpool topping the table so the Liverpool home fxture against Manchester City on 13th April looks like being a match not to miss.

But Liverpool haven't really been breaking any transfer records lately, they are not the sort of team who spends £25+ million on players (on the sort of scale other teams do)

A nice photo I took at Boston United yesterday of two of their players clashing heads. The one on the left suffered a broken eye socket and cheekbone.

That's the burden you have to bear, being the 'biggest' team in the region, I'm afraid...
Charlton looked poor in the three games they've played up here this season. Still beat us in the FA Cup though.
I don't think you could've picked a better opponent to 'bounce back' against!

Town and Donny should be aiming higher than beating us though, both are better than that.
I like what Hoyle has done at Huddersfield, I wonder if next season we'll see them really kick on. They have easily established themselves back in this league so perhaps the next step is a serious run at the play offs.
As for us, i'll just be happy to have a club next season. I really don't know what is going to happen, never a dull moment.
I watched tonights match between Sunderland and West Ham. Say what you like about Big Sam, he went up there and got the job done. A crucial win that surely means West Ham are safe and Sunderland are in deep trouble. Very good game I thought.
At the end of the day Newcastle knew how much we were getting for Torres and the fee was set accordingly. We got Suarez with the Torres money as well and he was a bargain. Carrol and Downing are just another example of how absurdly over priced English players are.

They only paid £35m for Carroll because they got £50m for Torres. In effect, they let Torres go, and got Carroll & Suarez in for an outlay of £8m. Good business, if you ask me.After a certain Andy Caroll - a waste of £35 Million who can blame them
