Rangers appeal turned down.

Shall we start a sweeper on the time the first death threat is issued?

After the cup matches between us earlier this year, it is a shame that Oldham Athletic will not have the chance to meet Southend United in League 1 next season, as I have now lost my football League 1 "repartee" contact now, Yorkshire Bear, as Sheffield Wednesday have been promoted to the Championship.

I'm still around for a bit of banter (and comments) about League 1!

Did you actually buy that forward you were after from Stalybridge Celtic and if so, how has he done?

I have not forgotten either league matches between us this season. It most surely would be right to say both our two clubs would had done better to have played two AWAY matches, as both our two sides were not at their best in the home games, which were both won by the same score of 2-1 by the away team.

P.S. I have sent a PM to you......but my computer went "strange"...and sent the same message FOUR times .....my apologies...

Any thoughts on the big Wembley match this weekend - Luton v York? Luton have 26,000 tickets sold, so there should be quite an orange feel to things, but will superiority of support (numbers) be enough?

Paul sorry to be leaving you :) Weve also taken your right back with us Kieran lee. Signed him this morning.

Might be back down very soon you never know! or you could be promoted.

I think if Liverpool got Brendan Rodgers, that will be no good for Andy Carroll, completely the wrong style of football, however Bellamy will fit well into Brendan Rodgers style.
As a liverpool fan, kenny's methods were too out of date

I don't agree about his methods being out of date - the players let him down.

Rodgers,Lambert and Martinez are not big enough names.

What about another Liverpool legend - a certain "Mr Keegan" :p

Yes we signed him, and in the big enforced break we had where all our matches were postponed, he broke his foot, so he only played 3 or 4 games for us  It's going to be strange looking at the squad next season though, as a lot of first team players were released last week.

So you don't pay your bills then try to intimidate/bully the SFA into rescinding the (appropriate) punishment?

I hope the SFA call their bluff and the other 11 teams in the SPL boycott Rangers

Boycott of the Scottish Cup, internationals and away matches being called for.

Maybe one day elements of the Rangers support will realise that what should really be happening is that Rangers issue an apology to the country for non-payment of tax and NIC, that Rangers issue an apology to all the small local companies they haven't paid and that they beg forgiveness in the hope that they get to stay in Scottish football.

But instead of that Rangers employees and fans go round issuing threats to anyone who as the temerity to punish them.

They are within their rights to do this, but I ask, will this decision have implications in future years ?

Hopefully.

If they don't want to play in the Scottish Cup out of spite then just don't invite them to take part. Given a run to the Scottish Cup final could bring in several million pounds they won't pull out, they cannot afford to. Be that the present Rangers or a new company Rangers.

That is pretty much the long and short of it.

I said this several weeks ago on here about the next Villa manager.

Going out of the box, how strange is it that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's odds have gone recently from being absolutely enormous, to 10's and 12's for next Villa manager. That is certainly out of the box, but sometimes its worth taking a chance.

Molde FK have confirmed that Aston Villa have made contact with a view to seek permission to talk to Ole Gunnar.

Would be good to see him in the Prem. The only problem is, what if Red Nose should retire just his time at Villa? Would he be considered?

Would be great to see him back. Always comes across as a lovely guy too. Such a shame those knee troubles plagued his playing career, altough he's made a flying start to his managerial one.

Good on Brendan Rodgers: he's turned down the chance to speak with Liverpool about their vacant managerial position!

I would hope others will follow suit, Martinez included <D Their careers are worth more than those half-wits (sorry sonic2009 ;)).

At least it's better on a Footballing CV than the small club across the park. ;)

OI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you mean, SMALL? <(

OK, so we haven't won the European Cup. Fine. But why was that? Because our best chance was in 1986, when - COURTESY OF LIVERPOOL - English clubs were banned! And you know we had a good chance when Steaua won! <(

I seem to recall one Señor Benitez got ridiculed - even by his own fans! - for calling Everton a small club! <(

...

No, seriously, I accept Liverpool are a bigger club - but not by much. At the minute though, I think most managers would rather manage Everton! <D

Anyone have any predictions for the Champions League and Championship Play-Off Finals tomorrow? I'm going for Bayern Munich 3-1 Chelsea and West Ham 2-0 Blackpool.

The Champions League final is a tough choice for me, I fully expect Chelsea to defend for 89 minutes and the home team (how can anyone be allowed home advantage in a cup final of this size????) to struggle to break them down.

As for who I'd want to win, well, on the one hand, a Chelsea win would see Spurs fail to qualify for next season's competition, on the other, Chelsea would win the Champions League....I think as Chelsea are an English club, and Tottenham being in the Champions League is unthinkable, I'll back the Pensioners....through gritted teeth.

Come on Blackpool is all I have to say on the day's big match.

As for the other small game later, I'd quite like to see Chelsea lose based purely on the attitude of a few fans I know.
