I quite liked them when Big Sam was around, even if they were physical. Now they just seem like any old team. Actually, they seem like any old team who have been usurped - by the team that relegated them (Stoke)

In all honesty though, I expect to see Bolton in the Prem in 2013/14 - quite possibly with Championship medals around their necks.

La Liga more likely, third place Valencia where 9 points closer to being relegated than catching second place Barca this season.

Blackpool could do; Birmingham could do. Cardiff will screw up and lose in the Play-Offs. As usual. Wolves? I think they'll be closer to 24th than 1st. Elsewhere, as much as I don't like to admit it, I think Leeds will be a team to keep an eye on. Ditto Scumville if they lose the Play-Off Final.

If I could choose, I would have Cardiff win with Brighton 2nd and Ipswich winning the Play-Offs. West Ham, Leeds and Blackburn can go down.

An honorable mention for Norwich and Swansea. Both finished level on points with 10th place, with Swansea losing out only on Goals Scored...

I didn't know who else to pick. I thought it would give them (and especially the owners) a reality check.

Subject to the League One Play-Offs though, Stevenage and MK are both ahead of them on the "hit-list".

Be good to see whose predictions are near next season, I can do 4 weeks in advance (in the season) but I won`t try months in advance.

Indeed, La Liga has some quite remarkable statistics this season, but what caught my eye was, with Real Madrid still one match to play, is the goal difference at present of the top two teams:-

Real Madrid.........+ 86

Barcelona...........+ 85

Some certain individual players (who shall remain un-named) have scored an inordinate number of goals in all La Liga league and cup matches plus those games that they played in the Champions League.

It would be good to see a city the size of Sheffield being represented by both of their two teams in the Championship rather than in League 1, but Huddersfield Town are most certainly not a team to be taken for granted.

An amazing last day - I thought Man City had totally blown it! Congratulations to them though, for showing a great deal of spirit today and over the last few games.

A good finish for Swansea City, especially as almost everyone, myself included, thought they would finish bottom, or at least be relegated.

Congratulations to Wigan Athletic who had what seemed the worst imaginable run-in over the final games, yet have achieved a final league position in the Premiership, which reflects how Roberto Martinez has been able to motivate his playing staff during this critical period and his players have responded magnificently to this.

On the matter of non-league interest for me next season, I never expected for one moment that Hyde FC would finish Champions of Conference North and would have local derby matches next season again Macclesfield Town (relegated from League 2) and Stockport County (who at one point looked like emulating Altrincham FC ...(sorry gnolife)... and descending to the Conference North).

I really hope Joey Barton is never able to play football again, but I doubt I'll be so lucky.

He has 1.4 million followers on Twitter, so it would be great if everyone could starve his ego by unfollowing him so he wakes up with no followers tomorrow morning! He's been tweeting tonight that he doesn't give a f**k and bragging that he took out a player.

The FA must do something about this. Sure there are other rogue players too, but let's get him sorted quickly and then move on. This season was a great one from start to finish, and we don't need to finish with incidents like this.
