Anyway. Scunthorpe United seem to be have a mini slump in form. Last week, they lost 1-0 away to Scarborough Athletic, and today, lost by the same scoreline away to Guiseley in the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Cup.
I'm suitably impressed, although you've got a few years on me! I've done a total of 155 grounds and have 6 of the current lot outstanding (did Sutton last season and almost did Barrow but a frozen pitch an hour before kick-off put paid to that!).
I've done those too. It took two attempts for Odsal after getting there on a very wet night in time for the match to be postponed when the opposition arrived.
I managed to miss out on Maidstone as well, although I'm not sure why I didn't bother. I think it's the only one I've missed since I started watching football in the late 1960s.

I think there may be a good few such occurrences missing* - another is that on October 27th 1987, Luton Town played a home Littlewoods Cup tie against Coventry City at Leicester's Filbert Street ground, because the club were not prepared to lift the away fans ban for that match at Kenilworth Road and preferred to opt for not many home fans instead!

In European competitions, when sponsors names are not permitted, the first three are known as Burton Stadium, Hull City Stadium and Leicester City Stadium. Reading's MadStad appears to have had no such name. Stoke's ground has been known as the Stoke City Stadium in European competition.
As far as I can remember, the last time Stoke were involved in European competitions was back in the days of the old Victoria Ground. It’ll be a long time until we go there again

Prior to their participation in the Europa League in season 2011-12, Stoke City had indeed played in the UEFA Cup, back in seasons 1972-73 and 1974-75. This, however, was essentially a couple of decades before the creation of the FA Premier League.
