In October I want to travel to Lichtenstein and Spain (Alicante) to see Scotland in the Euro 2012 Qualifiers. As my work will not confirm the time off until the Thursday before the week commencing the extra days I require I will travel by train.
I'm lucky enough to work for the railway here and qualify for FIP European Travel Facilities.
Any tips for the trips would be much appreciated.
I'm think of taking the Caledonian Sleeper to London (Thurs night 06/10/11), followed by the Eurostar to Paris, TGV to Zurich HB, & then local trains/buses to Vaduz in Lichtenstein
Then I think there is a direct Zurich HB to Barcelona Elipsos "Tren Hotel" where a change of stations is required for my direct connection to Alicante. However I can find no info for this train on the normally excellent DB timetable page??
Returning to Scotland I'll probably go via Madrid, Paris, & London.
The lichtenstein game is on sat 8th oct & spain on tues 11th. If I get the time off I'll be available to travel from after 22:00 on thurs 6th to 13th oct.
