Foot crossing name please ECML

Does anyone know what the name of the foot crossing is that is on the approach to Scremerston CCTV crossing (if on the down) on the ECML please?

On our Maps

The only thing showing prior to Scremerston is Goswick CCTV crossing on the Down.
On the Up prior to Scremerston you have Spittal Red/Green Pedestrian Crossing

Is there not still a foot crossing, which links the track heading (generally East) from Scremerston Town Farm towards Cocklawburn Dunes Nature Reserve / Far Skerr (rock) / Northumberland Coast Path? Approx map reference NU 030 479.

Not according to the Sectional Appendix. It's not on Google Maps or OpenStreetMap either, though the paths leading to it either side are.

Inclined to agree. Reckon there once was some crossing there, and it *might* just look like there still is, if from a passing train.

Thanks for the help. Been using the SA (which doesn’t show all of the foot crossings) and a video from 2 years ago, I can see from google maps it looks like one half of the crossing is missing though. It must no longer be in use.

ABC Railway guide doesn't show anything else in the area either. Only the main level crossing.

I just thought it was called Scremerston foot crossing, about 300 yards or so south of Scremerston CCTV crossing. It looks like it's blocked off and has been for a long time. Still has whistle boards though, which I don't quite understand!

I was walking in the area last April, The footpath had temporary closure notices at each end, which were 5 days out of date, so the crossing was technically open, I did not go to have a look though.

The path seems to exist on OS 25,000 maps though

The Historic England mapping shows Mileposts and Signal Posts ! (OS Road or OS Vector view)

Is it Saltpan Rocks FPS you are looking for? That's immediately south of Scremerston CCTV crossing.
