Food offering on long XC journeys at weekends

I shall be doing the Aberdeen to Penzance cross country service soon, ( weekend first), my hopes are not high of a cooked meal !

Take a microwave and a couple of meals with you. Only way you can guarantee a hot meal on that service. ......

You will not get a cooked meal on that service. Zero chance. Meals are only served in CrossCountry first class on weekdays. You will get sandwiches, crisps and biscuits and that's all.
