PLACES WITH RECOMMENDATIONS
[post=2833651]Crewe[/post]
[post=2833645]Faversham[/post]

We already have a thread for accommodation, and I put it to you that a food thread would also be useful. Simply post a recommendation of somewhere to eat near to a place's railway station, and you can reference this page if you need such a thing. I'll try to keep an ongoing list of places mentioned - with piped links to recommendations in their names.

A recommendation should have a basic description (pub/café/restaurant/etc), as well as simple directions to getting there from a railway station. The entry below can also be an example.

FAVERSHAM has a coffee shop called Jittermugs. It does good cakes, toasties, tapas and other things. It's about 0.2 miles from the station; turn left out of the exit, then right by the Railway Inn and keep walking straight down Preston Street until you spot it somewhere on the right.

Keep em' coming! :D

Crewe - there's a curry house when you go out of the station and turn left and carry on for a bit, it's on the left. Food was decent last time I went there and they had no issue with rucksacks etc being piled in the corner.

Any more recommendations, whether Spoons, greasy spoons, tearooms or curry houses?

Including chains;

Coast to Coast near Norwich is very good, if not quite pricey. Also nice cocktails. Next door is the nearest Spoons, Queen of Iceni which is pretty good as Spoons go.

Also about 2 minutes from Norwich is the Coach and Horses, pub with a brewery just behind, good food, good beer but can be a little expensive.
