Really sad news. Im not usually into that type of music but I love the foo fighters.
Taylor was a key part of the live shows.
Gutted ill never see them live (assuming they won't continue)

RIP. I tried to start this thread yesterday but I didn’t feel I had the right words.

It really is terribly sad news, particularly when you understand the lengths that Dave Grohl has gone to, to try and ensure his best friend at first cleaned up (after 2001 overdose, I recall he paused all Foo Fighters activity until Taylor had gone through a recovery / rehab process) and then remain drug free. Even as late as two years ago I remember Taylor Hawkins being interviewed and stating that he’d even given up alcohol in an effort to stay on the straight and narrow. Devastating for TH’s family, but also for his friends including Grohl, who has now witnessed the loss of two bandmates to substance-related reasons.

Mixed feelings about whether Foo Fighters should continue - on one hand it would be terribly sad for them to dissolve, but on the other hand I can’t imagine them without Taylor behind the drums, playing off against Grohl musically and in the general banter.
