FOC/TOC - MMI vs CBI

Good afternoon,

I've passed my photometric alongside passing the MMI!
However, I remember reading somewhere on a tread (long time ago) that there is a different version of a MMI and if you pass one and choose to undertake the other your MMI becomes invalid if you fail that other version (I don't know the name of it)

I'd like to know the name of this other one and also does anyone know which TOC/FOC use that other version instead of the MMI.

I'm just trying to understand if I'd have to undertake this version or if I'd skip it and go to the DMI.

Its the CBI, I know avanti use it, not sure who else

I thought the CBI was the old interview on the old tests which turned into the MMI when everything changed 5 or so years ago? The only 2 different versions I am aware of is the standard psychometric pass and enhanced psychometric pass?

CBI is still used by Avanti, it was one of the reasons I retracted my application with them, as I'd have to sit it and it would potentially put my other applications (that I'd done the MMI for) on the line.

Right... That's where I stand then.

I don't want to risk putting my MMI into a fail if I fail the CBI for whatever reason. Especially if it's only Avanti who seems to do the CBI. All others seem to do MMI so a wider range.

Hi everyone, I've done all my psychometric tests and passed with GTR. They don't do the MMI on the same day at the assessmemt centre. Now I have a CBI coming up with Avanti. Does anyone know - If I pass or fail the CBI with Avanti, will I still be able to do the MMI with GTR at a later date?

Any advice would be much appreciated

Even if you wanted to you can’t sit an MMI and CBI within 6 months of each other. The OPC booted me out the process for Avanti because of this technicality.
