Seen a loco Leeds to London with a purple livery - is this going to be applied to complete sets ?

Because it's a special promotional livery that they're only applying to one set. So what does it matter which 91 and DVT it's applied to as it's not going to be applied to any more? Besides the DVTs and 91s aren't paired together as the DVTs normally run around in the same set all the time with the 91 at the other end changing.
Is there a compete set somewhere all split up ?
Because as Ainsworth74 points out, the maintenance regimes are different for the 91s and the mark 4 sets so it would never be possible to keep the same 91 and DVT together for long. Plus in the case of the "Flying Scotsman" vinyling it would be a case of finding the appropriately numbered DVT and mark 4 set in the new livery to match the similarly numbered 91. It would have had to have been a loco other than 91101 as the mark 4 rake with 82201 at the end (BN19) is still in the National Express/GNER white stripe interim livery.Of course, don't put the Flying Scotsman livery on every set because that would be stupid but surely, for the sake of simplification, why not just stick 911xx with it's corresponding DVT?
Someone earlier pointed out that it's a bad idea having a one-off livery applied, but only really in this case. If you have fixed formation sets it's fine. The hard part is matching that set to a particular diagram with any reliability. Maintenance regimes and disruptions to service will soon spoil the plan.
