Hi, I know that Flying Scotsman is operating at the ELR over the next few days, can anyone tell me if it's already there, or if it's due to move there today?

If so, can anyone direct me to the diagram or real time trains or whatever it's on?

Back in the civilised North this week so may have the opportunity to see it!

Thanks

Is the ELR acting as the Scotsman's 'home' line for now between railtours, much as 46233 lives on the Midland Railway Butterly? Or have the ELR hired it again?

Bit of an unusual way round instead of the usual across Calder Valley, Mirfield, Wakefield K and Castleford

I'm guessing it's to avoid a load of pratting about turning it, not an easy job if the tender's at the Castleton end of the branch, if I remember right you can only reverse at Castleton North, not Castleton South.

No Flying Scotsman is based at the NRM when not on tours or preserved line visits.

I did wonder if this end of year visit, especially arriving 2 weeks early was so Riley and Son (E) who did the recent work on her (and who are running the tours) to give her a once over etc? The NRM website has surprisingly little information about when you can go and see her there, but it does show this to currently be her last tour until next May.

Anyone know if Scotsman will be on static display once it goes back to York, as I am going to York in 2 weeks for Locos In A Different Light at NRM on the evening, but will going to NRM during the daytime as well.
