Another post by somebody whose fotopic site has gone!

My fotopic site was sorted into albums for each class, and then each photo was in loco number order. Does anybody who already has a Flickr site know the answers to these:

a) if I have an album for Class 01s, then 02s, etc, in what order will they be displayed on screen. Is it in the date you create them?

b) if I then want to add another album, but it "slots in" between other classes - ie. a class 28 album is created, can I arrange for it to appear on screen between an album for 27s and an album for 31s?

c) can you order the pictures in each album, so they appear in loco number order?

d) if I then want to add to an existing album at a later date, can I do so? And if I can, can I arrange for whereabouts in the album that picture appears?

You can arrange stuff within sets using the Organizer, as well as the order they appear in. By default it is in date order.

Mine isn't transport so I just use sets and collections to categorise my stuff!

Oh and for bulk uploads I use the desktop Uploadr - http://www.flickr.com/tools/

You can organise your pics into sets. You can call the set what your like i.e mine are in Class of loco and in Area i.e Warrington, Western Region. You can have the same pic on both sets. Take a look at the link below:-

Thanks for that. I have heard that the first 200 pics are free, what price do you get charged thereafter? My fotopic had about 1750-1800 photos on it that I would need to upload again.

£15 per year

You can upload any number, but just the most recent 200 will be visible unless you pay (also removes adds, lets you have very high res images etc)

And I assume there is no limit, once a "Pro" member, as to how many photos can appear in each album? I have just started experimenting with it, and my Class 40-47 gallery will eventually need to have 300+ photos in it.

I have 4000 on mine (not all public - use it as an off site backup aswell)
