I'd better clear up the confusion about Flickr, and Pro accounts. It's true that after reaching 200 photos you need to pay for a pro account to get more space. However, if you have a yahoo account, i.e. a yahoo email address or a bt internet address (I've got the latter), you get a free pro account.

As long as you keep the account active, you'll be fine. The tip I'll give is, if you haven't got a BT or yahoo e-mail, get one, and then get all flickr e-mails sent to it, and check every week or so.

Ok, that's great but I have both a BT and Yahoo email address but have not gained a free pro account on flicker having signed up to it last week. Carnt see a way of getting a pro account with out having to pay, which I know you have to do anyway.

Can you point us to where this is stated on the Yahoo or Flickr websites? I, too, have both BT and Yahoo e-mail addresses but could not find any references to a free Flickr pro upgrade.

Your BT address has to be your primary email address on Flickr for you to gain free pro account.

You also have to be on a certain option broadband with BT, I can't remember which one it is exactly. Might be worth giving the primary email a try.

Arr ok, I swapped the primary address to my Yahoo address as it did start out on my BT address. I'll change them over and see what happens.
Thanks,

But yahoo own Flickr and you have a yahoo account for flickr. If they allowed all yahoo account owners to have a free pro account then no-one need pay.

OK then, I have a Yahoo e-mail and account for which I have paid nothing so why should I get a free pro account?

On the other hand, one of my family is with BT, whom they pay every month to get a phone line and Internet access, so a Flickr Pro account is a nice little extra for them if they wish to use it.
