Fisa Lean Cantilever Supports

The Fisa Lean is a nice seat, but the cantilever support on them is really annoying, as it completely blocks the legroom in the window seat, and unlike more traditional supports, you can't arrange your legs to go around them.

Fine for short journeys, or if the train was empty and could sprawl slightly sideways, but I imagine a longer journey, with every seat taken, would be really annoying. And if I'm travelling by myself, I don't especially want to hog a table seat.

Yeah, noticed this myself, it spoils an otherwise decent seat.

The seat has clearly been designed with the speed of cleaning (and thus reduced number of cleaners) front of mind, and things related to quality and comfort very much tertiary.

That is poor.
If there is a foot rest I use it otherwise straighten my knees / legs under the seat in front not have my knees at nominally 90deg.

Agree. They are really comfortable seats though, I much prefer them to the 80x series and the mk3 seats.

My only issue is luggage space - especially on the 755s doing Stansted airport runs there are no racks and you cant put your suitcase under the seats due to this bar. Overhead racks are fine if its light but no good if you've got 20kg.

It does seem to be part of the design, if you choose cantilever supports. Not an issue with table/face to face seating, and would be less of an issue if you have more generous legroom, like with the IETs, which are good in that respect.

There are alternative supports available though
