As it will be coming to an end at some point relatively soon, just to note that First have basically had Great Western ever since it was first franchised, initially as a partner in Great Western Trains, then buying it out, and through various shapes and not many actual tenders. I assume some of the Sleepers that were on the last BR journeys will be on the first renationalised ones, having had one careful owner in the meantime. This seems...unusual! Anything else like that? I can't think of any other franchises that never really changed hands.

Chiltern and C2C are the other two that I can think of that come close. Same franchise operators, though the owning groups have changed.
