8 vehicles have been received today according to bustimes.org from other First depots, however I would GUESS that only about 4 of these will be needed for the extra services and that about 4 of our (longer) existing single-deckers will get transferred away, -- just a guess !First Worcester have announced changes from 5th January 2025. We’re making changes to service 22/22A in the afternoons in response to customer feedback. Our PM journey on service 22 will now start at Witton Middle School at 1515 and Droitwich High School at 1525 before continuing on to Worcester at 1535 from Droitwich centre. This means students for Fernhill Heath will have a direct bus connection and a quicker return journey home. NEW 43 Worcester – Great Malvern & S43 Worcester – Dyson Perrins School
We’re pleased to introduce new service 43 from Worcester to Malvern Vale & Great Malvern. This new service replaces former school bus S43 to Dyson Perrins. In the morning we’ll continue to run at school times for students but the bus will extend to Great Malvern and then run back to Worcester via Malvern Vale to give new shopper links. The return journey from Worcester to Malvern Vale will depart at 1410.

144 – Worcester – Droitwich – Bromsgrove - Catshill
Service 144 from Worcester to Droitwich, Bromsgrove and Catshill will see a frequency reduction to every 30 minutes on Mondays to Saturdays, we will continue to run Hourly on Sundays. Reliability is an issue along the A38 corridor so we’ll be adding additional buffer time between trips from April to improve reliability. Students travelling to Worcester Sixth Form will need to change buses at Worcester Bus Station.

First Bus is cutting a weekday morning journey between Worcester and Great Malvern.
And the number 50 will no longer stop at Pershore College due to “very low usage”.
On other routes, the bus company says it is making changes to tackle “poor punctuality” and running more trips with double decker buses to increase capacity on the busiest journeys.
First Bus says there are “minor changes to improve punctuality” on a number of services including the 43, 44 and X44 between Worcester and Great Malvern - and that a weekday morning journey “has been removed”.
“September will be a test of whether First Bus have judged this right. The X50 has been a huge success in recent years and we need to make sure everyone who travels by bus can get around quickly and effectively.
“If there are issues as a result of this change I will be lobbying First Bus to ensure we increase the services to meet the needs of residents.”
Other changes, which take effect from Sunday, August 31, include additional capacity on the 144 Worcester to Catshill route and some number 38 journeys being replaced by more direct X38 trips to and from Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
