Indeed, 66727-37 went to Bath for X39, though 66735-7 left for Glasgow back in 2010. Like you say they are quite well dispersed now, although all our depots have at least two examples, although MH seems to be the main home of them now.

Some of them do look quite shabby these days - 66728/9/31 being especially tired cosmetically. Saw 66718 in Carmarthen last weekend and it looked quite smart in comparison.

The 669** batch from the following year have been equally as well spread though I think some members were diverted on delivery to FEC and never saw Bath

Indeed 66950/7/9 never made it Bath although as for the rest they were gradually picked away at, being sent here, there and everywhere. That said eleven of them still work in the region.

The 54 reg ones do look very tired and could certainly do with a refurb. Some of those you mention have lost all but a few of their headrest, whilst 66725 has had its replaced by leather ones. Sadly since most are now based at MH, I don't see much hope of them being repainted any time soon.

66934-43 and 66956 are still local? Meanwhile, once again there's a number of WX55 at Glasgow whilst 66944/5/53 went to Hampshire in exchange for 32251-3 but then also moved to South Wales.

I was always surprised that most of the 667** were sent to work local services in Weston whilst the 669** worked Bath country services in latter years. I thought, in time, they'd gravitate to the weaker Wells services (375/377) but they're obviously getting their own bus seated examples :) I guess the 667** would be best suited to the X8/X9 these days

Yes, 66934/6-43/56 are all MH based (though some might officially be LH), along with 66719/28-31/34. The X8 is one of the routes they do (but not X9) as well as 46/X46, 78, 79 and 178.

66944-5/53 went to Southampton a couple of years ago, but like you say are now in Wales. 66946-49/51-2 went to Glasgow, whilst 66954 & 5 went to Portsmouth before also going to Glasgow. The remaining four went down to Yeovil and Taunton before coming back up to Weston then on to Wales, except 66956 which is still about.

69438 has had its windows done - 3 on passenger side and 2 on drivers. Not repainted though, nor any adverts. They've done a good job on the windows too - no large holes in the frame surrounding it unlike 69458. I wonder if there is a change of plan?

I've now experienced each of the 54 reg B7s in Wells. The best is 66724, then 66721, 66720 and last of all is 66723.

Just on 66721 on 126 (today is 66721/3/6). It seems ok, but a little bit rattly and isn't the most powerful. I notice that the internal adverts have all been removed (apart from a sticker) and the advert holders have also been removed - I guess this is one of the next in line for a refurb.

66720 out on its usual 175 today too.

69441 is off the road with accident damage. Trainee driver hit a tree stump yesterday on 175. 35148 went out on the rescue.

That will teach them not to use B7s on the 175 where a Solo or Dart would easily suffice! Crazy given other areas are crying out for newish saloons.

Well no not really. It was on common ground with 174, so could've happened on that. 175 needs a B7 at peak on schools and if a solo or dart were used, there's always the risk that it'll end up on 376 - something that I'm sure Mr Freeman wouldn't like to see.

There was a urban dart in Wells on 173 yesterday evening.

This morning there is an urban Streetlite sat in the depot - funny that as I don't think the drivers have been type trained on that.

I can't recall 53401 appearing on the 376 in its last spell there. When there were more Solos there, it may have happened though I don't remember any instances.

They'd have been better off leaving 42968 as the 175 bus plus another as spare.

That would have been a Hengrove Streetlite. Tuesday when there was no access to Hengrove due to the incident at the petrol station, a driver who's car was trapped in Hengrove Depot was given a bus to get back to Wells as this was the only way they could get home. It was returned to Hengrove the following day.

69442 is now back in Wells in full Mendip Explorer livery.

Just 69437-41 left now. 69441 hasn't been seen since it's accident. Not sure if 69440 has gone off for repaint.

Confirmation from an insider that 69441 is indeed away for repaint and it did come back from repair for a little bit. 69440 is still at Wells in Barbie.

69439 back in Wells today on Bath services.

I assume 69438 has gone off for repaint. Haven't seen that or 69437 around in last few days.

Yeah sorry missed that bit out. Its in full Mendip Xplorer livery. It had its seats done a couple of weeks back too.

Confirmed that 69438 has gone away. Just 69437 left now :(
Coming on well. I shall be in wells on Friday so will have a look. With regards internal refurbs, it's a case of some have, some haven't.

Think its only a couple that haven't had seats done now.

I know for definite that 69440 and 69441 have had USB plugs fitted too. Not sure about 69439.
