First Transpennine training locations

Just asking if anyone knows where first train thier conductors for transpenine route.

Thinking of applying when a role comes up, I live in Bradford so I assume that huddersfield would be my nearest depot?

Lastly, where is the nearest depot to Burnley?

When I got offered a conductor job at TPE I was told the training would be in Glasgow. That was for a role at Piccadilly 18 months ago.

I don't think there are any TPE crews out of Huddersfield, the nearest will be Leeds or Manchester Piccadilly (happy to be corrected).

If you're specifically talking about TPE, their nearest depot to Burnley would be Manchester.

As far as I know, The bulk of the classroom training is at Huddersfield for TPE

I'll give it a shot when any conductor posts come up, have applied for northern and put on hold after assessment, then got told posts weren't there anymore and I'd been put in talent pool, bit peeved really.

Would I need to do a conductor assessment with TPE even though I have passed one with Northern?

How often do job come up?

Training IS at the TPE training centre in Huddersfield. Board and food depends on the distance from your home depot, lunch is provided.

Nearest depot to Burnley would be Preston.

Hi I start my training next week with First as a trainee conductor and I will be based at Man Picc. My training is at Huddersfield if that helps.

Preston is drivers only. There is also Blackpool North which has both drivers and conductors based there.
