Oh ok, so I assume you have done some of the tests before and passed? I went on Tuesday and I quite sure I’ve failed

Did you need a mouse for the vse? Or can you achieve it on a tablet

It’s at OPC on a laptop with a mouse. VSE was def the hardest test of all the test you have to do

overground requires you to sit both in person at OPC.
Can I ask how long after your OPC stage 2 you had your DMI? I have my stage 2 coming up with FRL
I think they slowed down right after OPC but it was fairly quick would say 3 weeks after stage 2 you will have DMI if you have passed.
Thank you mate! Can I ask any tips for stage 2 with FRL? Especially with VSE and ATAVT since there's not much online? For MMI would you say coming up with answers for the 6 questions is enough prep?
Vse and atavt not much you can do but for vse i would say dont let ur guard down because it is difficult,mmi you can prepare ur answer but be ready to be cought of guard and dont lie say how you actually felt when they ask

Not sure if you’re like me and don’t mind paying for materials to practice, I’ve found a software which, for me, was very helpful for the VSE. As it is a computer simulation, I believe it’s a better way to practice. I practice paper tests on paper and computer tests on computer. Just to add, most people will say the practice material sent to you is sufficient and buying material to practice is a waste of money. I saw it as an investment in myself. Everyone is different at the end of the day.
Theres a website called trainee train driver info where I bought stuff to practice. They have software for both tests you mentioned. I really enjoyed using the VSE software. At first, I was so bad at it but as time passed and I practised more, I got the hang of it. The ATAVT was very challenging. I was actually worried at the test centre but I guess I was good enough. Bare in mind, you will never get like for like with any practice material you get, apart from the dots test. Hope that helps. And good luck.

Got my stage 2 coming up in about 10 days and I am bricking it. Have been practicing with the tests but very worried about the MMI. Feel like my examples are not strong enough

MMI is not as hard as people say just practice your answers and make sure they are truthful scenarios. They ask the same 6 questions so do your research and you will find them but (at least in my case) they will make you change at least one of your answers to see how you cope under pressure so jsut remain calm. I asked to return to this question at the end. I thought I had done awfully but turned out I passed to the enhanced standard

yes they do but in a nice way phrases like tell me a bit more about that etc. but they will make you go into detail and also re visit your answers. Feel free to message me
I've just done my MMI last week and I'm wondering does anyone have any specific advice for the FRL DMI? I know you're meant to research the company but what kind of research/preparation is sufficient?

Hey, I did the 4 tests (stage 1).
Turns out I passed all of them. I just failed the Group Bourden test on the Enhanced Level, but i passed it on a "national standards" level. Bittersweet moment. Thought I did a lot worse, but I just failed on accuracy.
Anyways, I have a question. For those who actually got the job for First Rail London, and went through the whole process - what are the pre-employment checks like? Do they ask for emails of your referees and contact them directly for references?

I’ve got my DMI coming up with arriva does anyone have any advice or materials I could use I did my MMI a while ago so I dint remember my responses to the 6 questions lol
