First preserved 47 was 47401 I believe, first 50's were 50019 and 50035 which went at the same time in May 1991 I think.

First preserved 47 was 47001 at Crewe Heritage Centre, it was later swapped for 47192 (D1842). With regards to Class 20s, the first by many years was D8000 (20050) which this year celebrates 30 years in preservation.

There were several 37s in preservation before D6700/37350 passed to the NRM. I suspect the first was either the Growler Group's 37215 or Pete Waterman's 37029, the latter being another loco which departed preservation but has since re-entered it.
