First post - Thought i'd make a fun post: oddly shaped stations

Hi all, My name is Jordan. I'm a keen rail enthusiast, I hope to have a career in the industry someday.
I regularly volunteer on the Isle of Wight steam railway and I thoroughly enjoy it!

I thought I'd make my first post something fun and interesting.

I'd like to see some oddly shaped platforms, the twistier and tighter the better.

Here's a benchmark:

Woolston Station on the Southampton - Portsmouth line. It's pretty twisty. trains always squeak and squeal their way through this station.

Penryn is unusual - it has a single platform face used as two platforms for trains heading in opposite direction, and right-hand running:

Scroll to the left (as in follow the tracks towards Leeds) and note the funny looking class 333 at the junction! Looks like a 2 car unit with 3 pairs of doors on one!

Sometimes the photo merging can go a bit wrong!

Edinburgh (Waverly) is a an odd one.
On the south you've got a platform with a double S bend. There's three long "double" platforms. There's bays facing both ways. There's a bayline with platform faces on both sides. And it is on a dried up loch bed in the bottom of a steep sided valley.

Then, of course, there's Liskeard. Two fairly standard E-W platforms and one facing north for a branch that goes south, a branch that does a complete 360 and then reverses. Apparently, it's possible to run down the hill to Coombe Junction Halt faster than the train can make it.

A diesel one or a sort of 2TC?

It's remarkable what you can get by blending two shots from the same pass. Even better if you could overlay them with a stereoscope (an old WW2 trick for finding V1 launch sites).

Clapham Junction takes some beating

Another interesting factoid is that the filled in bay platform was originally a loop, although it had to be severed to extend (what is now) platform 3.

Kirkby and Ormskirk on Merseyrail are odd stations. Single tracks entering from both ends but no connection between them, one track electrified on third rail and the other not.

Well if the OPs odd station is anything to go by, I'm afraid nobody has mentioned Farringdon!

So is Retford (sort-of). These stations used to be quite common, even Crianlarich had two stations almost superimposed.

Smethwick Galton Bridge is the same, with the Snow Hill - Worcester line crossing over the top of the Birmingham loop of the WCML at right angles. It's a new station too, opened for business in the mid nineties.

Holyhead was a bit unusual in having an enormous great big harbour between the platforms!

Dovey Junction - V-shaped station with a passing loop on each side but no platforms on the loop lines (made for some complex messing around).

Rhyl - huge resort (in its day) but only one up platform [plus a bay]. Two platforms on the down.

And that's just in Wales!

Helsby I think is a funny one in the way it has 4 platforms but only 2 of them actually see regular hourly services. The other two only see a few services a day and some freight.

A few underground stations come to mind as well, Whitechapel because London overground trains run on platforms underneath the underground ones so it is overground under underground. The signs on whitechapel from the underground say overground on them but point downwards down the stairs. The other station in mind is mile end that it is 2 island platforms with a deep-level tube line on one side and a sub-surface on the other, so a deep-level and a sub-surface on the same level. Strange.

Then we have Perth, a station where traffic priorities changed. It was clearly always intended as the gateway to the Highlands, but now the two platforms curving away towards Dundee see far more traffic than the rest.
