Does anyone know how much longer the Wright Renowns at Queens Road are going to remain in service? I ask as yesterday only 4 got out in service ( 60386 R631 CVR on the 17 then later the 67, 60405 X699 ADK on 110, 66191 S791 RWG on 52/53 and 66192 S792 RWG on 52/53) Its a shame they are going as some of them are very good Buses. also worth noting 66191 was replaced by an Eclipse in the afternoon aswell.

How often are they used on the 17 route? I thought they were run exclusively by Geminis?

It normally is Gemini's but Rochdale Road is currently shut where the Bridge is causing delays to the service so sometimes they send a spare Bus out on there to get the service back on time

The recently withdrawn Olympians are being transferred to the South West, with 34091, 34093, 34096 & 34097 having already arrived at Camborne.

Also it would appear that there some new Optare Versa School buses, 49230 (YJ14 BPO), 49231 (YJ14 BPK), & 49233 which I saw this morning in Chadderton, unfortunately I did not get the reg.

I have another day in Manchester today and could only find 2 Wright Renowns, them being 66191 S791 RWG on the 64 and 66192 S792 RWG on route 52/53, has anyone seen any others in the last few days?

Also noted B6 40438 was on a 81 short and 40440 was on the 52/53's!

apparently the following Renowns from Queens Road have transfered to Bolton Depot, this is what am told:

60380 on the 519, 66192 on the 37, 62214 on the 541 (whatever that is)is anyone able able to confirm this?

Former Queens Road Wright Renown R621 CVR is now at Bolton Depot and was on the 582 today!

34093 broke down on delivery and had a tow into Camborne, I have not seen any of these in service yet and they arrived around 2 weeks ago. I do not think any more Olympians are due in Cornwall so unsure what will happen to the others.

I can confirm 60380 R625 CVR has moved from Queens Road to Bolton Depot, unsure the reason behind this move as this is now Boltons oldest Bus in service and theres been no PVR increase either

Renowns 66191, 66192 and 60405 all seen working out of Queens Road today so the end of the Renowns there is not over just yet!

Theres been a lot of Renown Withdrawals over the last couple of months with a few getting an extra lease of life by moving to Bolton Depot, I have therefore created a List of what Renowns are still active and where they now are. it is also worth noting that R624 CVR did join some of its Sisters at Bolton however i clocked it working out of Queens Road yesterday on the 110. I may also expand on this list to include the Withdrawn examples as a few have already departed for scrap.
