hi all. I know this has probably been covered and I have had a very quick search, but I’m making my first journey in Europe by train next month and looking for any helpful advice.
I’m rail staff now, I have my FIP and I’ve just emailed my itinerary to BookMyRST. I’m traveling from Milan to Frankfurt, Berlin and Gdańsk. I’m flying in to Milan and out of Gdańsk.
We were originally going for a wedding but that’s been cancelled now, so we have no aim or have any clue what to do. We had already booked the flights but have no train tickets or hotels booked as yet. We will spend 2 days in each of the cities mentioned above and move to the next by train.
If anyone has a better way of getting from Milan to Gdańsk via other routes then please advise. I’ve picked these cities as it’s the best route there I could find. (11:23 Milan to Frankfurt looked good to me).
I can still go other ways but I only have 1 week to do the whole trip.
Thanks for indulging me, I am staff but i know nothing at all about rail travel in Europe. I’ve looked at seat61 and got a few ideas but it’s a massive website and I’ve got a bit of information overload from it. I’d just like to know other people’s personal experience.
Thanks again.
