Like to know in advance! I come from LUL, know little about TOCs, really friendly bunch and the checks were hassle free at LUL, unlike my previous company rude!

These checks are just basic questions about your background so no reason to be overly complicated as long as you’re upfront about everything.

Ive applied today, done the sjt got an email 10mins later inviting me to do the next test which i did straight away. Ive passed stage 1 and 2 assessments including mmi so il sit and wait now. All the best to everyone.

Sounds good I literally done the sjt 20mins ago but I haven’t received an email, is it because of the time of day? Or the assessments computerised and not checked by the actual recruiters?

Funnily enough I was just about to post something similar. I completed the SJT at around 9.30pm ish and have received nothing too. I'm fearing the worst but I am confident that I should have passed. Hopefully will wake up to an email for the next test in the morning!

Sorry quick question, if they email the link for the second assessment does that mean that you’ve passed the first one? Or is everyone given two assessments? And u find out the final results after?

I think you have to pass the online SJT before being invited to alphanumeric assessment.

I've assumed that if you didn't pass the first test then you wouldn't get the 2nd one, but I have no idea whether its fact or not as the wording of the 2nd email doesn't say. Its the same with the timings - my emails (according to the recruitment portal) were sent 30 minutes apart, but I know others where it has taken much longer.

Its not a maths test - its comparing 2 lines of characters and saying if they are the same or different. You get 5 minutes to do 40 of them

I actually enjoyed it, much easier compared to OPC VSE assessment which was a nightmare.

"Please note if you are applying for a Trainee Train Driver position and pass this assessment, you will receive another email shortly after completion inviting you to take part in a second assessment." (Online part 1) - Contradiction here!

I am still going through the process from
Last years intake, I applied in the July, was invited to an assessment centre in the March for the following June, I think I had a couple of thanks for your patience style emails around the November and January.
I imagine you will be rejected quickly or will be waiting a while for an invite to the assessment centre.

Yes. I asked this question the other day in this thread and was told GWR can use the passes for 5-years?

I just done the second assessment and my laptop froze on me taking allot of time to open up the page for next question so i missed out on two answers ahhhh i only answered 38

Mine did the same, in the end freezing completely. I didn’t have to do them anyway but as I received a reminder at the weekend I decided as a precaution to do the second test (I was overthinking again and thought they may not have updated my file to say I didn’t need to do them ). Anyway, I phoned them up and I’m still all good. I’d imagine if there’s a technical glitch you’ll get to redo it, however yours only froze momentarily so I’m not sure they’ll allow this?

I phoned up on monday before i done the first assessment and told them my laptop crashed and i only got my laptop back yesterday and it crashed again so hopefully they remember me calling them on monday and I’ll explain the situation to them tomorrow the second test was super easy but it just wasn’t allowing me to move fast

Yes. I asked this question the other day in this thread and was told GWR can use the passes for 5-years?
