First group trainee drivers

I live in London and have an assessment for a trainee driver position in Bristol.
Do first still use the mechanical comprehension test? If so where can I find practice
tests to work on?

p.s. I'm aware of site that offer MCTs but I would like to work from first or lorol
own test sheets.

They should send you practice test material (part of which will be MCT practise stuff), however when I took assessmants with them last year there was no MCT.

As some other posters have said you should have recieved the practice materials from FGW by email.

If you have not I suggest you get in contact with FGW to ask them to email you a copy asap especially if you have your asessment this week like me

I only got an e-mail. No letter and definitely no MCT material. In the e-mail it states the test will cover 'concentration' and
'trainability' for rules and procedure part 1 and part 2.

Reading this, the tests they are gonna want you to do on this occasion, by the sounds of it, are the Group Bourdon "Boredom....." Test, and the RAAT test. Somewhere on here there is information on where you can get hold of the relevant practice material for the Bourdon.
For the RAAT test, I don't think you need to practice that one, it all comes down to reading what's in front of you. I would imagine, once you pass these two, then you will start the test that are aimed specifically at Drivers. The Bourdon and RAAT are really nothing to worry about. Anybody going into the railway (certainly in a safety critical position) has to do these.

Yes they do keep a database of people who have sat the tests and they do check.
That said there will be changes made to the assessments this september according to the gentleman conducting the FGW trainie drivers asessments in Bristol Today so things could be changing includng the limit of two tries (although not yet confirmed)
