£97m vs £70m is perhaps a more valid comparison esp as Stagecoach have ordered 45 bread vans
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---

Think 30-ish to Bramley

37 I believe.

As for the e200s ordered, do we know what length(s) these are? Most of Stagecoach's were Max length.

I'm expecting a number of e200s (say 17) for Hoeford as Eclipse Volvo replacements (PVR=15) (maximum age stipulation in contract with HCC specification I believe).

Coaches for Cymru (for the 100)/Slough (for the Railair link)/Dublin maybe?

I also think this year's cascades will be very interesting.

I think some of the coaches are for Dublin but certainly not the Cymru 100. Aren't some deckers needed to replace the CT artics on Bristol P & R ?.

Thanks for confirming on coaches.

Just looked at Route One, which states that single decks have been ordered for Eclipse replacement. I wonder where the B7s will go? Oh I so hope its the west. Very interesting that Hoeford will get E200s and I expect they'll be Max length. Maybe we'll see some too in Southampton?

Point well made.

It was a fair suggestion from yourself, but as First South Yorkshire's standard new single decker is the StreetLite Max, I'd have thought more of those would have been ordered if Olive Grove was receiving more new single deckers.

Hopefully it does turn out to be Enviro400s, the extra capacity is desperately needed in Sheffield IMO.

That's part of the 68 new deckers for WoE.
12 E400 MMCs for 902/904 (CT plus routes)
8 E400s - think they could be the Gyro spec for U1 in Bath
45 E400s - the confirm spec ones. That has also been confirmed on Route One - interesting they say the Bristol bid is waiting after elections.
3 Streetdecks (probably for 72)

Won't be for Railair, as they've just finished refurbishing the existing fleet.

Do we know for sure the Eclipse replacements will be E200s, or could they be some of the StreetLite Maxes?

There's only 20 StreetLite Maxes on order this year, and they're all for First South Yorkshire.

I expect the Hoeford buses to be max length.

I doubt Southampton will get anything new; best they can hope for is cascades; those two step darts can't keep going for ever.............

No idea where the Eclipse Volvos will go but if it were me I would keep them at Hoeford for the X4/X5, and redeploy the Streetlite Maxes from there onto the 1/3 routes in Pompey to release Scanias to replace the non-PSVAR Tridents.

It's interesting, where could the B7's go? Southampton have just spent a lot of money on their Citaros so I can't see them being moved away just yet. I do think they'll get sent to WOE, even though I've made my thoughts perfectly clear before as to where I'd want them to go.

How do you make the Eclipse enviro's high spec, when all first buses are now delivered high spec? How do they go the extra mile now? Be interesting to see. Could hampshire and Dorset see some cascaded B7TL Gemini's? Mid life 55 plate stuff?
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Edit: hopefully made it clear that I don't think the eclipses will cascade the Citaros away. So therefore the eclipses will end up WoE.

It has been widely reported in Dublin for a few weeks now that aircoach are expecting delivery of 6 Plaxton panther 3 coaches in late may early June to finally withdraw the last two 2004 Setras which are believed to be around 3.5 million km and also the four unpopular 2006 ex first Cymru Levantes.

It's possible they increased the order but there has been no solid source to confirm it.

No, there's 6 for Aircoach.

So 35168-202 formed part of 2016! Fewer listed for Bristol than anticipated. Wonder what is different on a 334** than a 339** unless it's just because they're running out of numbers in that sequence?

Thought they might start using the 334** numbers again. As there's no real difference in E400s, they thought we'd better keep it in 33*** range :)

Thought there might be some Scanias :)

Well I thought we were getting 68 vehicles in West. Wonder what happened to the other 25? Did they fail in the bus bid or something?

Really surprised that Adderley Green is getting some stuff!

And only a handful of new stuff for Scotland. Good to see that Scotland East have a few deckers coming too.

Looking at it again - most of the figures are short. There's not 71 Streetdecks. The Streetlite Max and coach figure are the only ones as far as I can see which is fully correct.

I assume that all the E200s are E300 size as they're in the 67*** range. E400 figure appears to be correct too.

35168 to 35238 = 71 Streetdecks. It includes the Leicester and Norwich examples

Conflict with the FSY Streetlites with 63369-74 allegedly for Rotherham and 63375-88 for Doncaster reported elsewhere. Not entirely surprised to see Potteries getting some fleet. Not only is it desperately needed, there had been some talk about it. Mind you, this is First so expect more changes between now and delivery

I'm surprised Leeds are getting MMCs and Streetdecks, rather than one or the other. Both are types new to the fleet.

So there are 10 for Aircoach after all, must admit, took me quite by surprise as 6 has been quoted everywhere for the last few months.

Lack of profit would preclude a number of OpCos not least Potteries!

Of course the big difference is Manchester has had plenty of new stock while the like of potteries have had sod all of past few years. Its the same reason why FSE have been given new stock over the past couple of years because there had to.

Not really. They could cascade newer fleet to Potteries as indeed they did with some Streetlites from Manchester.

The slight surprise is more that they might have bargained on allocating new fleet so the spectre of Quality Contracts might be avoided.

Mind we dont know what this years accounts contain, maybe the potteries has improved upto April 2016? I'm expecting Midland bluebird to have gone the same way, and if were really lucky FSE to break even.
